Installation Steps

Drive Installation Steps

1. Remove the drive cover from the DX115 DC carrier.
2. Carefully insert the drive into the carrier. Slide the drive toward the back of the PCA board on the back of the carrier until it clicks into place.
3. Hold the drive in place and turn the drive/carrier assembly over.
4. Fasten the drive into place with the four (4) screws provided with the carrier. Some drives may require minor adjustment.
5. Turn the carrier back over and install the drive cover. Secure it with two (2) screws provided with the carrier.

Move Dock Operation

1. Place the Move Dock 3S and DX115 DC drive carrier on a table.
   

2. Make sure that the Move Dock is switched off and not plugged in.

3. Slowly push the carrier into the Move Dock until it clicks into place
   WARNING
   Failure to follow the correct insertion procedure can cause pins to be bent inside of the Move Dock and can lead to its malfunction.

4. Use an included USB or ESATA cable to connect the Move Dock to your computer or ingest workstation.

5. Connect the Move Dock to power using the provided power supply.

6. Turn the power switch on the rear of the Move Dock to the on position. The green power LED will light up to indicate that the Move Dock is powered on.

Your Move Dock is now ready to use! If the attached drive is already formatted, it can be used right away. If the drive is brand new or its format is not compatible with your computer, the drive will need to be formatted before being used.

WARNING
Formatting a drive will erase all data on the drive, so be sure to back up your data before beginning this operation.

2. Use a data cable with RFI reducing ferrites on each end.
3. Use a power supply with an RFI reducing ferrite approximately 5 inches from the DC plug.
4. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
