SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING
Risk of suffocation! This product can ONLY be used OUTDOORS in ventilated environment. NEVER use it indoors, as burning charcoal will cause carbon monoxide poisoning.

  • It‘s forbidden to use the product indoors.
  • Take care of children and pets during bbq, this is not a toy.
  • Do not block the air vent in main body.
  • Keep the product in fl at surface during bbq.
  • Do not touch the grill rack during bbq.
  • Warning! Failure to comply with the safety information, danger warnings and operating instructions in this manual could result in explosion, fire, serious injury or death. It is essential to comply with all local and national regulations, as well as EC standards, when using the Diagofocus either as a barbecue or as an outdoor fireplace.
  • The appliance must not be modified in any way
  • This appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age, as long as they are supervised and have been given instructions about using the appliance safely and are fully aware of the dangers involved.
  • Cleaning and maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are at least 8 years of age and are supervised by an adult
  • Never leave the unit unattended while in operation.
  •  Please keep this document at hand and give it to the future owner in case of transfer of your device
  • This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and that they fully understand the potential hazards.
  • Some parts of the unit, especially the external surfaces, are hot during operation and should be treated with care.
  • The Barbecue is designed to be used exclusively outdoors.
  • The recommended fuel for the barbecue is purified charcoal (with a high carbon content) in accordance with the EN 1860-2 standard.
  • The Barbecue is not an incinerator. Waste (plastic, cardboard, …) can damage the appliance by causing thermal shocks. Moreover, because of their constitution, they are real pollutants.
  • Solid or liquid firelighters can be used in the quantities indicated in the instructions for use of each of these products. Do not store them near the barbecue.
  •   Warnings in accordance with EN 1860-1
  •  ” Caution! This barbecue’s gonna get very hot. Do not move it while using it.”
  • Caution! Do not use in closed rooms”
  • “Caution! Do not use alcohol, petrol or any other similar liquid to light or reactivate the barbecue”
  • “Caution! Do not leave the barbecue within the reach of children and pets.

Your appliance has been designed for domestic use only. It is not intended for use in the following situations which are not covered by the warranty:

  • in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other professional environments,
  • in farm hostels,
  • by guests in hotels, motels and other residential environments,
  • in bed-and-breakfast-type environments.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

OPERATION

  1. Put 4 pcs AA battery inside the fan box. We strongly recommend you to use rechargeable batteries. (Pic. 1)
  2. Fill the Charcoal Box with enough charcoal (Pic. 2).
  3. Assemble the inner pot and the battery fan box into the plastic base of the product. (Pic. 3)
  4. Put solid alcohol on the ignition plate in a circle (Pic. 4).

  1. Light the solid alcohol (Pic. 5).
  2. Put the charcoal box over the ignition plate, turn on the knob of fan box to maximum level (Pic. 6).
  3. Put the grill rack onto top of the product (Pic. 7).
    You may notice signs of wear, rust, deformation or discoloration of parts (especially stainless steel parts) that are directly exposed to the flames. These phenomena are completely normal and result from normal use of the unit. Under no circumstances can they be assimilated to manufacturing defects. The charcoal tank is a wearing part that should be replaced from time to time.

HINTS ON DISPOSAL

  • According to the European waste regulation 2012/19/EU this symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste.
  • Instead it should be taken to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product.
  • For more detailled information about recycling of this product, please contact your local council or your household waste disposal service.
  • Your product contains batteries covered by the European Directive. 2006/66/EC, which cannot be disposed of with normal household waste.
  • Please check local rules on separate collection of batteries. The correct disposal of batteries helps prevent potentially negative consequences on the environment and human health.
