IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
Carefully read this manual before using this appliance.
Ensure that you know how the appliance functions and how to operate it.
Maintain the appliance in accordance with the instructions to ensure that it functions properly.
Keep this manual with the appliance. If the appliance is to be used by a third party, this instruction manual must be supplied with it.
The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any danger completely and proper accident prevention measures must always be used.
No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
Do not use this appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way, or if the supply cord is damaged.
IMPORTANT SAVEGUARDS
When using your Raclette, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

  1. Read all instructions.
  2.  Use only the raclette for its intended use.
  3.  To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the raclette in water or any other liquids.
  4. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
  5. Do not allow cord to touch hot surface. Let the raclette cool completely before cleaning.
  6.  Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly or if it has been damaged or dropped. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  7. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave raclette unattended while connected.
  8. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the same circuit.
  9. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
  10. All repair work should be carried out by an approved service center.
  11.  The heating element has been slightly greased and as a result the raclette might slightly smoke when switched on for the first time. After a short while, this will cease. Let the raclette work for 10 minutes before first used, this will remove the smell and smoke.
  12. This appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and that they fully understand the potential hazards.
  13. hildren shall not play with the appliance.
  14.  Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  15.  Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  16.  If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  17.  The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer‐switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.
  18. This appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age, as long as they are supervised and have been given instructions about using the appliance safely and are fully aware of the dangers involved.
  19.  Cleaning and maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are at least 8 years of age and are supervised by an adult.
  20. Keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
  21.  When using electrical equipment, safety precautions must always be taken to prevent the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury in the event of misuse.
  22. Make sure that the voltage rating on the typeplate corresponds to your main voltage of your installation. If this is not the case, contact the dealer and do not connect the unit
  23.  Never leave the unit unattended while in operation.
  24. Please keep this document at hand and give it to the future owner in case of transfer of your device
  25.  The device must not be used if it has been dropped, it obvious signs of damage are visible or if it has leaks.

Your appliance has been designed for domestic use only. It is not intended for use in the following situations which are not covered by the warranty:

  • in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other professional environments,
  • in farm hostels, by guests in hotels, motels and other residential environments,
  • in bed and breakfast type environments.

BEFORE USE

  1. Make sure that there is enough ventilation around the raclette.
  2. The raclette should not be placed on an untreated wood surface. Place the raclette on a heat resistant surface.

GRILL

  1. Place the raclette in the middle of the table.
  2. Cut the meat into small pieces. You thus reduce the cooking time. Chop the crude meat and serve it on a plate or a wooden board.
  3. Turn on the unit by “ON/OFF” switch for cooking.
  4.  You can grill toasts in the raclette pans, fry eggs of potatoes and many other things.
  5.  You may serve the grilled meat with different sauces, salads of baguette. Always remember to add some grease to mini pans before use.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow cooling before cleaning.
  2.  Do not immerse the appliance in water.
  3.  All surfaces can be cleaned with a clean damp cloth.
  4. All the pans can be washed in water. If stains still appear, it is recommended to use soap.
  5. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp utensils to clean the raclette.
  6. Clean inside with a clean damp cloth.

THE WARRENTY DOES NOT COVER

  1. If the above points have not been observed.
  2.  If the appliance has not been properly maintained, if force has been used against it or if it has been damaged in any other way.
  3. Errors or faults owing to defects in the distribution system.
  4.  If the appliance has been repaired or modified or changed in any way or by any person not properly authorized.

Warning!!
Please do not touch surface while in use. The accessible surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.
