Safety and Care Instructions:

  • Warning: This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of young children. Small parts can pose a choking hazard.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble the unit. Repairs to electrical equipment should only be performed by a qualified service person. Improper repairs may place user as risk and void warranty.
  • Do not use this unit for anything other than its intended user or purpose. Doing so may damage the device and void warranty.
  • Do not puncture or harm the exterior surface of the product in any way.
  • Only power from a vehicle 12V output port.
  • Ensure that your vehicle 12V outlet fuse is rated at 1 OA or higher.
  • The fuse is a safety component. Never use a fuse of a higher or lower rated value; and never use anything to add to, or replace the fuse.
  • Do not use for extended periods of time as this could drain your car battery.
  • The motor will heat up if used for an extended period of time. If the vacuum gets too hot, turn it off for 15 minutes to allow it to cool down.
  • Disconnect the vacuum from the 12V outlet when not being used.
  • Do not vacuum anything burning, smoking, sharp, toxic or corrosive.
  • Do not vacuum liquids.
  • Do not operate the vacuum in the presence to explosive or flammable fumes, or close to explosive or combustible materials.
  • Do not block the suction tube. Keep it free from dust, hair, or anything that could block the airflow.
  • Never operate the vacuum cleaner without the filter.
  • Do not use if there is any damage to the product or the connecting lead.
  • Clean the canister after vacuuming any perishable food items.
  • To prevent water getting into the motor, never immerse the vacuum cleaner in water.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the unit.
  • Store it in a dry place.

Assembly/Disassembly

To remove the Dust Container:
While gripping the vacuum housing handle, rotate the dust container in the counterclockwise to release. When reattaching the dust container, align the dimples on the vacuum housing with the slots in the dust container, push the two together, and rotate clockwise to secure in place.

To remove the HEPA Filter:

Grip the filter plastic housing and pull it out from the dust container.

To attach the Long Extension:

Push the flat end into the dust container suction nozzle (opening).

To attach the Brush Head:

With the long extension attached to the dust container, push the brush head onto the end of the long extension.

Operation

Plug the built-in 12V power plug into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter port. Press the On/Off switch to start and stop the vacuum. Follow the Assembly/Disassembly instructions to remove the dust container for emptying.
Note: For most vehicles, the 12V outlet (cigarette lighter socket) will only provide power when the ignition is turned on. Turn on the ignition to power the vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning the Filter

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a washable HEPA filter. Wash the filter if it appears to be very dirty and covered with large amount of dust or dirt, or if the vacuum cleaner is not working effectively. To clean the filter remove it and rinse it under cold water. You can lightly clean the filter with a moist cloth. Allow the filter to sit for 24 hours or more so that it is completely dry before reinstalling it.

Fuse Replacement

A 1 OA glass fuse is located in the built-in 12V power plug. If it needs replacement, only replace it with an equivalent fuse. To replace the fuse unscrew the end cap from the end of the 12V power plug, noting the position of all the end parts. Before reassembling, ensure that the positive pole contact head is positioned correctly and protruding from the front of the end cap. Insert the fuse into the end caps contact head, and screw the cap back on the body of the power plug.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Solution
Motor does not operate. Power ON/OFF switch not in ON position. Switch the

power switch to “ON” position.
Vacuum is not plugged in| Plug-in power cord to the vehicle’s 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter outlet).
Car is not turned on to provide power to the vacuum.| Tum on the vehicle.
Vacuum’s fuse is blown.| Replace the fuse in the power cord’s plug connector.
| A hot motor is normal if the vacuum is running for an extended period of time.| If it gets too hot, switch off the vacuum for 15 minutes to allow it to cool down.
Motor overheating.| | Note: Make sure that the motor ventilation slot in the motor casing is not covered while using the vacuum.
Suction power is weak.| Dust filter dirty.| Clean the dust filter.
Dust canister full.| Empty dust canister.
Nozzle, brush head or extension are blocked.| Clean blockage.

Warranty

STP warrants its products for ONE YEAR against defects in manufacturing under regular consumer use with the original receipt of retail purchase.
We believe in our products and want to provide you with a replacement if needed, only if the product is still under warranty. If you discover a defect covered by this warranty, please contact us about receiving a replacement.
