INTENDED USE

Intended use

The “beurer HealthManager Pro” is a system for digitally monitoring your health.

Using the “beurer HealthManager Pro”, health-related data from measuring devices such as blood pressure or blood glucose monitors can be monitored, managed, edited and exported, for example. Progress graphs, tables and individual comments provide you with a quick and convenient overview of all your values. In addition, the application calculates further medical health- related data from the transmitted measurements, such as the mean arterial blood pressure or the ECG curve. Device parameters can also be set using the application. The application is not a system for diagnosing illnesses and does not make any therapeutic suggestions.

Target group

The target group is users who want to transfer health-related data from home medical devices to electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets or home computers using an application.

Indication/clinical benefits

Using the “beurer HealthManager Pro”, health-related data from measuring devices such as blood pressure or blood glucose monitors can be monitored, managed, edited and exported, for example. Progress graphs, tables and individual comments provide you with a quick and convenient overview of all your values. The underlying data is used to transmit information in the event of illnesses such as hypertension or diabetes, or to prevent these illnesses.

WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES

Recommended updates
To ensure safe and optimal use of the “beurer HealthManager Pro” app, it is advisable to install software updates as soon as they are available. The web version of the app automatically uses the latest version.

Contraindications

  • People with restricted physical, sensory or mental skills should be supervised by a person responsible for their safety and receive instructions from this person on how to use the app.
  • If you have any of the following conditions, it is essential you consult your doctor before using the app: Cardiac arrhythmia, circulatory problems, diabetes, pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, hypotension, chills, shaking.

General warnings

  • The measurements taken by you are for your information only – they are no substitute for a medical examination! Discuss the measured values with your doctor and never make your own medical decisions based on them (e.g. regarding dosages of medicines).
  • The app is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.

APP DESCRIPTION

Installation
iOS:

  1. Open the Apple App Store (iOS) on your iPhone/iPad.
  2. Search for the “beurer HealthManager Pro” app in the Apple App Store (iOS)
  3. Follow the instructions and download the app. The installation starts automatically.
  4. As soon as the installation process is complete, you can launch the app on your iPhone/iPad.

AndroidTM

  1. Open Google Play (AndroidTM) on your AndroidTM smartphone/tablet.

  2. Search for the “beurer HealthManager Pro” app in Google Play (AndroidTM)

  3. Follow the instructions and download the app. The installation starts automatically.

  4. As soon as the installation process is complete, you can launch the app on your Android smartphone/tablet.

Dashboard
The dashboard is the app’s home page. Here the user can find a clear display of their active categories and connected devices. Clicking on the category tile takes the user to the measurement detail page of the respective category. Using the device tile, the user can access the settings area of the connected device. You can also access the menu from the dashboard by clicking on the three dashes at the top left. The goal settings and the history are called up by clicking on their symbol tiles. New devices and manual measurements can be added using the + in the top right corner.

Menu

  • The menu is accessed from the dashboard by clicking on the three dashes at the top left.
  • The menu can be closed by clicking on the dashboard area on the right-hand side of the screen.
  • The following areas of the app can be accessed from here: Settings, Services, Help and Legal information. It is also possible to switch between different profiles if the multi-user function is used.beurer IM-BEU Health Manager Pro fig 1

Note: The multi-user function is only possible for users with an online account.

Add device
The + symbol at the top right of the dashboard takes the user to the “Add device” area. Here they can select the category from which they want to add a device. After clicking on the relevant category, the selection of applicable devices opens. The user must now select the device they want to add from here. Devices that are already connected are greyed out here and cannot be reselected. The guided integration of the respective device starts from here.

Add manual measurement
Manual measurements can be recorded in each category using the Add a measurement function.
Here, the time and the respective measurement are recorded per category. A comment and medication can also be entered here directly.
Clicking the Save button saves the entire entry and adds it to the respective category.beurer IM-BEU Health Manager Pro fig 2

Measurement detail page
The current measurement is displayed prominently on each measurement detail page. This measurement is evaluated according to either internationally accepted guidelines or personal goals. This evaluation is represented by the coloured circle around the measurement. Clicking on the measurement circle opens information regarding the reference values or your personal goal. Optionally, relevant information regarding the measurement is also shown. The user can also click on this to read about the relevant meaning. The user can navigate to another measurement in the same category by swiping through the date and time selection at the top of the screen. Measurements can be edited, added and deleted using the more symbol (three dots in the top right corner). Comments and medication can be added to the respective measurement. In addition, the selected measurement can be shared. In the blood pressure category, a guided triple measurement can also be started via the more symbol. The goal tile is used in each category to clearly display the individually set goals if they have been activated. Some categories require an individual goal. The course of measurement is located on each measurement detail page. All previous measurements are displayed graphically here. Different settings can be configured for each category, e.g. the time period can be selected. By clicking on the individual measuring points, the relevant information on the respective measurement appears.
Swiping to the side allows the user to navigate through the graph in terms of time. Clicking on the calendar symbol at the bottom left of the course of measurement opens up the calendar. A specific time can now be selected here if it contains measurements.
By clicking on “Show all measurements”, the user can access the history, which lists all measurements filtered according to the respective category.beurer

History
All previously recorded measurements, comments and medications are listed chronologically in the history.
A specific time can be selected using the calendar symbol at the top left. Certain categories can be selected or deselected using the filter symbol at the top right.
Measurements, comments and medication can be added using the more symbol (three dots at the top right). In addition, measurements, comments and medication can be deleted via “Edit history”.
All existing values can be exported via the export function. You can select the desired time period and categories and choose between PDF and CSV data formats. Goal
In the goal area of the app, an individual goal can be selected for each category. Reference values are stored here by default, but these can be adapted to your own requirements. Export function

Medication

Comment function
The comment function allows free-text comments to be recorded separately or in conjunction with a specific measurement.

WHAT IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS

Problem Remedy
My app stops responding or crashes. Completely close and restart the app.
The app is displayed incorrectly on my smartphone. Check whether your

smartphone is on the list of compatible devices. If this is not the case, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the app will work correctly on your smartphone.
Not all measurements are shown in the history.| Check whether the filter function is activated using the filter symbol at the top right.
I am already a “beurer HealthManager Pro” customer and would like to transfer the data I have already collected to the new app.| We are currently working on the possibility of data migration. As soon as this function is available, all “beurer HealthManager Pro” customers who use an online account and have subscribed to the newsletter will be informed.

UNINSTALLING THE APP

iOS:

  1. Hold down the “HealthManager Pro” app icon with your finger until it starts to move.
  2. Tap the small “x” that appears in the top corner of the screen.
  3. A question will appear on the screen asking if you want to delete the app. Tap “Delete” here. The app is now uninstalled.

Android

  1. Open the “Settings” of your Android smartphone/tablet.
  2. Tap on “Apps”
  3. Tap on the “HealthManager Pro” app.
  4. Tap “Uninstall”. After confirmation, the app is deleted.

Notification of incidents
If during or through use of the product a major incident occurs, notify the manufacturer and/or their representative of this as well as the respective national authority of the member state in which the user/patient is located.
