The AgraStrip® Pro WATEX® test system enables the rapid and simple on-site quantification of mycotoxins in a variety of agricultural commodities. Both extraction and assay have been streamlined, reducing steps to a bare minimum while setting new standards in accuracy and usability.

AgraStrip® Pro WATEX® mycotoxin test kits include:

  • 40 test strips
  • 40 extraction buffer bags
  • 40 cartridges for AgraVision™ Pro Reader
  • 1 bottle of 50 ml assay dilution buffer
  • 40 yellow or white pipette tips
  • 40 blue pipette tips
  • 40 microcentrifuge tubes (dilution tubes)
  • 40 Whirl-Pak® filter bags
  • 1 tube holder
  • 1 QR code card

The AgraVision™ Pro reader is required to perform the assay.

Using Instructions

To ensure accurate results, please follow the package insert that came with your test kit.

Procedure of AgraStrip® Pro WATEX® on corn

Using Instructions

  1. Turn on the AgraVision™ Pro reader by plugging it in and set it up according to the instructions. Select the mycotoxin method.

  2. Weigh in 10 g of adequately ground, representative sample into one side of a Whirl-Pak® filter bag. Add one extraction buffer bag into the same side.

  3. Add 50 ml of distilled, deionized or bottled water to the Whirl-Pak® filter bag.

  4. Shake vigorously for 2 minutes.

  5. Let the sample settle for 1 minute.


  6. Pipette 1000 μL assay dilution buffer into a microcentrifuge tube.*

  7. Transfer 100 μl of sample extract supernatant from the filter bag to the microcentrifuge tube (1:11 dilution).*

  8. Centrifuge the diluted sample for 30 seconds at 2000 g.

  9. Insert the test strip into the provided  cartridge. Place the cartridge containing the test strip into a reader port.

  10. Insert the QR card containing information the reader needs to carry out the test. Once saved, it will not need to be scanned again.

  11. The AgraVision™ Pro detects the test strip via the data matrix code on the strip. Enter sample ID, matrix type and quantitation range.

  12. Pipette the sample extract into the cartridge. The reader automatically starts the assay and displays the result when finished.
