Caution:  Always check that all buttons are on the exact position “locked”, before you climb on the ladder.

Partial extension of the ladder:

  • Ladder on a firm and level ground, move one foot on the lowest rung.
  • Hold the lowest rung of any check if the buttons are locked (Scheme 5).
  • Repeat the process with each of the next higher rung, until the arms are completely extended.

Caution:  Always check that all buttons are on the exact position “locked”, before you climb on the ladder.

Shorten the Ladder:

  • Ladder on a firm and level ground make that the lowest rung begin.
  • The two keys to unlock (schedule 4).

Before use:

  1. Ensure that you are fit enough to use the ladder. Certain medical conditions or medication, alcohol or drug abuse could make ladder use unsafe.
  2. When transporting ladders on roof bars or in a truck, ensure they are suitably placed to prevent damage.
  3. Inspect the ladder after delivery and before first use to confirm condition and operation of all parts.
  4. Visually check the ladder is not damaged and is safe to use at the start of each working day when the ladder is to be used.
  5. For professional users, regular periodic inspection is required.
  6. Ensure the ladder is suitable for the task.
  7. Do not use a damaged ladder.
  8. Remove any contamination from the ladder such as wet paint, mud, oil or snow.
  9. Before using a ladder at work, a risk assessment should be carried out, respecting the legislation in the country of use.

Positioning and erecting the ladder:

  1. Telescopic angle should not exceed 75 degrees.
  2. Ladder shall be on an even, level and unmovable base.
  3. Ladder shall of course against a flat non-flexible surface and should be secured before use, e.g. using rubber footed stabilizers.
  4. When positioning the ladder take into account risk of collision with the ladder e.g. from pedestrians, vehicles or doors (like in exits) and, where possible in the work area, ministry any obstruction in the free workspace such as overhead lines or other exposed electrical equipment.
  5. Ladder shall not be positioned on the steps or steps.

  1. Ladders should only be used for light work of short duration.
  2. Do not use the ladder outside in adverse weather conditions, such as strong wind.
  3. Take precautions against children playing on the ladder.
  4. For a secure grip on the ladder when ascending and descending.
  5. Keep the ladder within a hand-bag.
  6. Wear suitable footwear when climbing a ladder.
  7. Avoid excessive side loads e.g. drilling brick and concrete.
  8. Do not use the ladder as a bridge.
  9. Do not use the ladder when drinking alcoholic beverages (creates a risk).
  10. Avoid long periods on a ladder without regular breaks (tiredness is a risk).
  11. Landing point used for access to a higher level should be extended at least 1 m above the landing point.
  12. Equipment carried while using a ladder should be light and easy to handle.

Open the ladder:

Automate locking: each rung of your ladder has 2 locking pins are blocked, the automatically inserted into the slots of the uprights in place when the ladder is extended.

Condition of the locks:

The unlocked position is shown by black buttons on the side of each rung is displayed:

  • Unlocked position (Scheme 4): There is a gap between the buttons and the Step
  • Locked position (Scheme 5): The buttons are located directly on top.
