Product Usage Instructions

• Gain Control:
  • Adjust the overall output level of the preamp. Clockwise increases sound level, and counter-clockwise decreases sound level.
• EQ Bass:
  • Boosts or cuts the low-frequency elements of the guitar’s sound. Adjust to increase or reduce low-frequency power.
• EQ Mid:
  • Boosts or cuts the middle-frequency elements of the guitar’s sound. Adjust to increase or reduce mid-frequency power.
• EQ Treble:
  • Boosts or cuts the high-frequency elements of the guitar’s sound. Adjust to increase or reduce high-frequency power.
• Built-in Tuner:
  • Press the tuner button to access the built-in tuner for easy guitar tuning without external equipment.

• This starting preamp is designed to provide essential features for a great acoustic/electric guitar experience.
• To ensure optimal performance, please read this manual thoroughly.

PREAMP FEATURES

1. GAIN:
   • Adjusts the overall output level of the preamp.
   • Turning this control clockwise increases the sound level; counter-clockwise decreases the sound level.
2. EQ BASS:
   • Boosts or cuts the low-frequency elements of the guitar‘s sound.
   • If moved above the centre position the amount of low frequency power is increased.
   • Below the centre, these sounds are reduced. In the centre detent position, the preamp does not affect these frequencies.
3. EQ MID
   • Boosts or cuts the middle-frequency elements of the guitar‘s sound.
   • If moved above the centre position the amount of mid-frequency power is increased.
   • Below the centre, these sounds are reduced. In the centre detent position, the preamp does not affect these frequencies.
4. EQ TREB
   • Boosts or cuts the high-frequency elements of the guitar‘s sound.
   • If moved above the center position the amount of high-frequency power is increased.
   • Below the center, these sounds are reduced. In the centre detent position, the preamp does not affect these frequencies.
5. BUILT-IN TUNER
   • The OP-4BT comes with a convenient built-in tuner, allowing you to easily tune your guitar without the need for external equipment. This feature ensures that you‘re always in tune and ready to play.
6. DISPLAY
   • When you play a note after pressing the tune button, the tuner display window annunciates the following information.
   • TUNER ENABLED
   • The upper and lower segments alternately flash when the tuner is on and no note is played.
   • NOTE IN TUNE
   • When the note played is in tune with the reference, the note names are displayed with a „diamond“ on the right.
   • NOTE FLAT
   • When the note is flat, the note names are displayed with an arrow pointing in the direction to move the string‘s pitch.
   • NOTE SHARP
   • When the note is sharp, the note names are displayed with a down arrow in the direction to move the string‘s pitch.
7. OPERATION
   • To operate the preamp, ensure you have a fresh 9V battery installed correctly in the battery compartment.
   • Plugging in a 1/4“ shielded guitar cable into the jack activates the electronics in your guitar.
   • The tuner can be used without plugging in.
   • For the best results, connect the guitar to a PA system or an acoustic guitar amp after setup.
