Roll Paper Holder Quick Start Guide

This roll paper holder is an optional item for printing roll paper on the FUJITSU DL3100 DOT MATRIX PRINTER. This is a simplified version of the Getting Start Guide, which covers 8.3 or 8.5 inch roll paper. For details, please refer to the included start guide.

Check the components that are consist of the rolled paper holder

Before mounting the roll paper holder in the printer, make sure that you have the following items.FUJITSU-KA02100-Roll-Paper-Holder-Matrix-Printer-fig-

Mounting method to printer

  1. Attach the base. After moving the L/R tractors to the left and right ends, Align the guide of the base with the grooves on the left and right sides of the printer, and set from the top.FUJITSU-KA02100-Roll-Paper-Holder-Matrix-Printer-fig- \(3\)
  2. Attach the leg plate to the base. (Fix it with two knob screws.)FUJITSU-KA02100-Roll-Paper-Holder-Matrix-Printer-fig- \(4\) Attention Attach the leg plate in the correct direction as shown above.
  3. Attach the two holders to the base. (Fix it with two knob screws. )FUJITSU-KA02100-Roll-Paper-Holder-Matrix-Printer-fig- \(5\) Attach the holder temporary about in the position shown below. Slide the left and right holders to the right, respectively, and place them against the screws. Then, tighten the screws.   4. Pass the shaft so that the paper tip of the roll is on the bottom side. The shaft may be passed from the left or right of the roll.FUJITSU-KA02100-Roll-Paper-Holder-Matrix-Printer-fig- \(7\)
  5. Mount the roll paper and shaft (securing path route) into the holder. Make sure that the paper roll rotates smoothly.
    Attention
    Load the rolled paper so that the shaft is evenly aligned with the paper. If the left and right sides are not even, the shaft may tilt and the paper may fall, causing injury. Set the E rings on the left and right sides of the shaft so that they are on the outside of the holder. If it is inside, the shaft will tilt and the paper may fall, causing injury. Press the roll paper against the holder on the left side, and adjust the holder position on the right side so that the gap is 0.5~2 mm. FUJITSU-KA02100-Roll-Paper-Holder-Matrix-

Paper feeding method for the roll paper

  1. • Turn on the printer, and move the paper select lever (the right side in front of the printer) forward to “ Friction feed mode. “FUJITSU-KA02100-Roll-Paper-Holder-Matrix-Printer-fig- \(9\)
  2. Insert the roll paper. When paper is detected, it is automatically loaded.
  3. Move the paper select lever backward to “ ” for continuous paper position. Then, turn the paper feed knob clockwise to eject the roll paper. Align the pulled out paper with the left and right edges of the paper in the rolled paper holder.FUJITSU-KA02100-Roll-Paper-Holder-Matrix-Printer-fig- \(13\)
  4. When the paper roll is set, move the paper select lever forward to ” for friction feed mode. Press the “LF/FF” key until the bail roller closes.
  5. Attach the sheet feeder along the groove.

Attention If the sheet feeder is not set, paper may be caught into the printer. Therefore, be sure to set the sheet feeder.
