Please note

  • Ion exchange resin cartridges should be replaced when the red indicator light on the Aquafilter lights up;
  • Once the new cartridges have been fitted, do not remove them until they have been used up, except where the following point applies;
  • Before an extended period of non-use of the Aquafilter, empty the system to prevent the formation of bacteria and biofilm;
  • To avoid compromising the performance of the device, both cartridges must be replaced;
  • It is recommended that you replace the vessels’ O-Ring seal (for guidance in selecting the seal, see Fig. 1);
  • The quality of the inlet water affects the durability of the resins. The higher the water-hardness and electrical-conductivity values, the fewer litres will be produced by the resin cartridges before a value of 15 microsiemens per cm stops the unit functioning. For example, if electrical conductivity is 300 μS/cm at the input, the quantity produced will be approximately 150 litres. For values near or above 600 μS/cm, the number of litres produced may be reduced by 30%. In this case, we recommend using the Aquaosmo reverse osmosis system.

Storage instructions

  • Store at a temperature between 5°C and 35°C;
  • Only remove from original packaging when fitting;
  • Avoid exposure to sources of light and heat;
  • Do not open or tamper with the cartridges.

Remember: take used resins to a waste-disposal centre and dispose of them as hazardous waste, complying with the laws in force in the country of use at all times.

Installation instructions

  • If possible, before replacing the resins, relieve the pressure on the vessels;
  • Unscrew the vessels containing the cartridges using the wrench supplied with the Aquafilter (Fig. 2.1);
  • Insert the spacer ring into the cartridge, ensuring that it is positioned correctly, then insert the cartridge into the vessel with the seal facing upwards (Fig. 2.2);
  • Screw the container back into the Aquafilter (Fig. 2.3);
  • Repeat this step with the second cartridge.
