How to correctly replace the cane/crutch tips
First, make sure that the cane tip size of your cane matches the size of the purchased cane end.
Remove the old tip from the
cane.
Before installing the new cane
tip, ensure that the cane end is clean and free of any residue, and keep it
dry.
Lay the new cane tip flat on the
ground, place the cane end over the holes of the cane tip, push the cane end
forcefully into the holes, and then tap it a few times on the floor or wall
until the cane is securely fixed in place.
After
installing the cane tip, you can try using the new cane tip on a flat surface
to check if it is firm and provides good support and grip. If adjustments are
needed, tighten or loosen the cane tip accordingly based on the actual
situation.
Tip
The material of the cane tip you received may become hard in low
temperatures. If you cannot easily install it on the cane, you can soak the
foot pad in hot water or use a hair dryer to blow hot air onto the cane tip
for 1-2 minutes to soften it before easy installation.
