Cuddeback X-Change Models
How‐to guideline for the installation of firmware
Here is how – if the relevant Cdy_8_3_0.zip file has been downloaded or sent to you via e‐mail:
OPTION 1:

Unzip / Extract the cdy_8_3_0.zip folder to your PC / laptop

Copy ONLY the applicable .fw file labelled ‘cdy_1200_8_3_0.fw’ onto a clean / formatted standard size SD memory card not larger than 32GB (this .fw files are located inside the new cdy_8_3_0 folder).
File cdy_1200_8_3_0.fw is for C, E, G & J Series cameras -
Insert the SD card back into the camera trap

(For C / E / G & J Series cameras) – Press MODE until COMMANDS is displayed. Press MORE until LOAD F/W is displayed. Then press UP or DOWN arrow to proceed.
OPTION 2:
- DO NOT Unzip / Extract the cdy_8_3_0.zip folder to your PC / laptop
- Copy the entire cdy_8_3_0.zip folder onto a clean / formatted standard size SD memory card not larger than 32GB.
- Insert the SD card back into the camera trap
- (For C / E / G & J Series cameras) – Press MODE until COMMANDS is displayed. Press MORE until LOAD F/W is displayed. Then press UP or DOWN arrow to proceed.
PLEASE NOTE – battery level must be 50% or greater for firmware to load
(please do not try to open the .fw files on your computer as they will not be
able to read them)
