Electronic Mosquito Killer Model: JY-10

This Senelux Bug Zapper has been designed to lure and kill a range of light sensitive flying insects. The insects are lured by the ultraviolet black light and then killed as they contact the electrically charged inner grid area.
Before use, please read the safety instructions in this document carefully.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

High voltage! Disconnect the power before repairing or cleaning.
If the power cable or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified service engineer. Or returned to the manufacturer. Any unauthorized repair will invalidate your warranty
This is a high power rated item and is not recommended to be used with an extension cable.
Keep the bug zapper away from fires or areas with high heat sources.
Never put metal objects inside the grill whilst the bug zapper is powered on.
Do not place fingers, or objects inside the grills as this may result in an electrical shock or cause damage to your device.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Before inserting the plug make sure that the voltage is within the range indicated on the rating label on the appliance.
The bug zapper cannot be used in barns, stables, or similar places.
The bug zapper is for Indoor use only.
Disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet before cleaning the unit or its components.
When not in use, store out of reach of children.
The bug zapper is not to be used in locations where flammable vapour or explosive dust is likely to exist.
Never immerse in water/other liquids or use in the immediate vicinity of water, such as bathtubs, washing bowls, swimming pools etc. where the likelihood of immersion or splashing could occur.
This appliance must be earthed.
If not being used store in its packaging in a dry environment.

OPERATION

Hang the insect killer at a height from 1.8m to 2.4m above the ground.
Place the device 8m from the area removed from where human activities are.
Position the insect killer between the source of insects (forests, lowlands, etc.) and the area to be protected.
You must first decide on a safe and appropriate position to install the bug zapper, make sure you have a socket outlet near enough to the unit.
Place it 3 feet / 90cm above the floor. Always place the bug zapper on a strong, flat, and stable surface.
Turn off the lights, close any doors or windows in the room that you are placing the zapper.
Turn on the device 3 hours prior to anyone entering the room.
The tubes should glow fluorescent violet and start to attract any nearby insects.
For better results, please use for 3-5 consecutive days.
Clean the device at least once a week and always allow it to dry after cleaning before it is switched on.

Reminder :Waste electrical products must not be disposed of with household waste. This product should be taken to your local recycling centre for safe treatment.

MAINTENANCE

BULB REPLACEMENT

Disconnect the device from the power source.
Open the lamp by sliding the lower compartment rotate according to the arrows on it.
Use a screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the plastic gate in place.
The bulb can now be removed from the socket to be pulled out.
Insert the replacement bulb into the socket.
Reassemble all parts.

Note: Ultraviolet or “black light” its invisible attracting effects of insects, decreases over time. So even if the bulb lights up fine to the human eye it should be exchanged every season to limit the degrading effects

CLEANING

Before cleaning the device, please make sure the device has been powered down for a long period of time 1 hour+.
Make sure the device has not only been turned off from the power switch but has been unplugged from the power socket.
The outer casing can be cleaned using a damp soft cloth, but the inner tubes and grills must only be cleaned with the brush provided or another similar soft brush.
Do not clean the bug zapper with strong detergents or strong kitchen cleaners or solvents.
Make sure the device is completely dry before powering back on.
