NekTek Solar Panel 100W-NK-SC-100W-B08BBZ7P1R FAQs

Frequently Asked & Questions

Why doesn’t the solar produce 100W power when charging to a power station?

The solar panel is affected by many factors such as the intensity of thelight and the angle of the panel on the ground.100W is the power generated by the unit when tested in an ideal laboratory. However, in practical aspects, the intensity of the sunlight constantly changes. In addition, the angle of the light illuminating the solar panel also changes with the rotation of the sun or location of the product. Please try to test your solar panel underfull sunlight. Make sure there is no obstruction or shadow casted on the panel.

What kind of battery can be charged by this solar panel?

1. Sealed lead-acid battery.
2. Colloidal lead-acid batteries.
3. The open lead-acid batteries.

How to clean the surface of the solar panel?

Dust and dirt on the surface should first be removed using a soft brush.Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface of the solar module to remove any remaining dust or dirt.Any guano or other adhesive should be removed as soon as possible from the solar surface to avoid a reduction in performance.

Can you connect the Nekteck solar panels to other panels?

Does the attached stand shown in the photo come with it?

Yes, it is attached to the panel

Is it possible to get a longer cord?

You can buy an extension cord. This panel comes with an MC4 connection cord and a cord with an 8mm barrel for charging portable solar generator

Is this rated for 12v or 18v?

This is a 19.8V panel. You need a solar charge controller. Solar panels have a 80% expected efficiency and a 20% loss for different factors. Based on that it will work for a 12V battery but it will not know when to stop charging on a good sunny day. Left without a solar charge controller it can kill your battery. Play it safe. Get a mppt solar charge controller and fuse the positive leg with a 5a in line fuse.

How many can be connected in series?

The input on a good day is about 68 watts, 5A and 18 awg. I will say as many as what the solar charge controller can handle considering the battery bank you use.

Can you get a different adapter to fit my furrion plug

It has pos and negative MC4 and a DC5521 connector plug that will fit a yeti lithium generator like it was made for it.
