Frequently Asked & Questions
How long is the usb c cable?
1m/3.3ft
Is the intergrated type-c cable following usb type c standards? benson didnt review this charger, i’m weary if the cabels uses the correct resistors
Yes and no. The app ‘Ampere’ reports a max current of 1500mA, so I think it’s a USB type-C connector on a legacy cable – no different than putting a compliant USB-A to type-C cable on a standard charger. I think Benson was primarily reviewing USB-A to type-C cables, of which a lot report 3000mA capacity incorrectly.
Does this turbo charge?
Yes it does. The USB attached to the charger I have not used. But the charger itself does turbo charge.
What is the output from the type-c cable? does it do 5v/2.4a or 5v/3a?
For integrated type-c cable, it’s 5v/3A (max)
Is this the updated version that does not heat up and melt?
Yes, the updated version built with extra over-current protection. (limiting the charging current up to 3.3-3.5A)
Will this work for the LG g7?
Yes. just 5V/3A charging, not PD charging.
Is the usb type-a additional port (supports up to 2.4a) compatible with iphone 6? (which draws 2.1a) – i guess will it hurt my iphone?
“supports up to 2.4a” that doesn’t mean it always puts out that much current. I means 2.4a is maximum it can produce. If a phone draws 2.1a that’s what the charger provides.
