Sharpal 145H Diamond Lapping Plate

- Product Usage: To sharpen and flatten the surface of knives, scissors, and other cutting tools.
Product Usage Instructions
- Flatness Measurement
- Use a straight edge to measure the flatness of the stone.
- Lay the straight edge down to the surface and try sliding a piece of paper between the straight edge and stone to check the possible gap to determine whether it needs flattening.
- Soak and mark the stone
- Soak the stone for around 10 minutes until bubbles disappear.
- Then use a pencil to mark lines on your stone.
- Flattening Stone
- Rub the stone surface against the lapping plate and keep an eye on the pencil marks.
- Once the marks have worn away, the flattening is finished.
Method 1:
* Hold the diamond sharpening stone onto the lapping plate with one hand.
* Move the sharpening stone back and forth over the lapping plate with slight pressure.
* Repeat this process until all pencil marks are removed from the sharpening stone surface.
Method 2:
* Place the sharpening stone on the lapping plate.
* Move the lapping plate back and forth with slight pressure.
* Repeat this process until all pencil marks are removed from the sharpening stone surface.
- Maintenance
- Rinse the lapping plate thoroughly and always keep it dry when storing the diamond stone.
