American Plant 5-12 Pediatric Special Needs Swing Seat
Product Usage Instruction
General Instructions
For easy installation, it is recommended to assemble the swing frame and
lower it onto footers. Once the frame is assembled and leveled with hardware
installed on the top rail, cement into place. Follow guidelines from the
concrete manufacturer for the amount and time of curing, etc. It is also
recommended to use ratchet straps along with stakes or anchor spikes to
stabilize the frame while the cement cures.
Step 1: Preparation
DO NOT CEMENT POSTS/MOUNTS INTO PLACE UNTIL THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE IS
ASSEMBLED. Refer to the General Installation guide for footing size
information and instructions on digging proper holes for the support
posts/mounts.
Step 2: Attaching the End Post to Top Rail
Attach the end post to the top rail using two (2) 6-1/4 bolts, four (4)
washers, two (2) lock nuts, and two (2) bolt covers with caps.
Step 3: Attaching Swing Hangers to Top Rail
Loosen and attach the swing hanger onto the top rail. Space hangers with a
minimum distance of 20 inches between each other. Loosen hardware on the swing
hanger pendulum and attach chains.
Step 4: Attaching Adaptive Seat to Swing Hangers
Loosen the double clevis hardware and attach the adaptive seat using the
four connection points. Retighten the double clevis hardware.

Inground Post/Mount Installation
STEP: 1

High-Capacity Adaptive Swing Seat Install

- Attach end post to top rail using two (2) 6-1/4″ bolts, four (4) washers, two (2) lock nuts and two (2) bolt covers with cap.
- Loosen and attach swing hanger on to top rail. Spacing hangers with a minimum distance of 20″ between each other.
- Loosen hardware on swing hanger pendulum and attach chains.
- Loosen double clevis hardware and attach adaptive seat using the four connection points. Retighten double clevis hardware.
