Product Usage Instructions

Installation Instructions:

1. Attach mounting strap assembly (mounting strap[I] with threaded pipe[E], screw collar loop[B], and 3 hex nuts[F] preinstalled) to outlet box[H] using strap mounting screws[G].
2. Unscrew the threaded ring[C] from the screw collar loop[B].
3. Pass canopy[D] over the screw collar loop and raise the canopy to the ceiling. Approximately one-half of the exterior threads of the screw collar loop should be visible below the canopy.
4. Adjust the position of the screw collar loop by loosening the hex nuts[F] and turning the threaded pipe[E] up or down in the mounting strap[I]. Remove the canopy once the desired position is found.
5. Tighten the hex nuts in the mounting strap assembly and screw on the threaded ring.
6. Hook decorative rods[M] into the upper loop[L] and lower loop[O] attached to the frames[P] and [N] respectively. Repeat for remaining decorative rods.
7. Attach chain[A] to the screw collar loop using open chain links[J] and attach the opposite end to the decorative loop[K]. Close the chain links securely using pliers.
8. Weave fixture wires through chain links and pass through threaded ring, canopy, screw collar loop, threaded pipe, and into the outlet box.
9. Follow the grounding instructions provided (See Illus. a or b) to ensure proper grounding of the fixture.

• Q: How do I adjust the height of the fixture?
  A: To adjust the height of the fixture, follow step 4 in the installation instructions. Loosen the hex nuts against the mounting strap and adjust the position of the threaded pipe within the strap to raise or lower the fixture as needed.

CAUTIONS

CAUTION – RISK OF SHOCK:
Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fusebox before starting and during the installation.

WARNING:
This fixture is intended for installation under the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended. Failure to adhere to these codes and instructions may result in serious injury and/or property damage and will void the warranty.

CLEANING:

• Always be certain that the electric current is turned off before cleaning.
• Only a soft damp cloth should be used. Harsh cleaning products may damage the finish.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Attach mounting strap assembly (mounting strap[I] with threaded pipe[E], screw collar loop[B], and 3 hex nuts[F] preinstalled) to outlet box[H] using strap mounting screws[G].

2. Unscrew the threaded ring[C] from the screw collar loop[B].

3. Pass canopy[D] over the screw collar loop and raise the canopy to the ceiling. Approximately one-half of the exterior threads of the screw collar loop should be visible below the canopy.
   NOTE: Adjust the position of the screw collar loop by loosening the hex nuts[F] preinstalled against the top and bottom of the mounting strap[I], and turning the threaded pipe[E] up or down in the mounting strap.
   Remove canopy.

4. After the desired position is found, tighten the two (2) upper hex nuts in the mounting strap assembly (one (1) on each side of the mounting strap) against the top and bottom of the mounting strap. Tighten the lowest hex nut in the mounting strap assembly against the screw collar loop.

5. Slip the canopy over the screw collar loop and screw on the threaded ring.

6. Hook one end of the decorative rod [M] into the upper loop [L] (attached to the upper frame[P]). Hook the opposite end of the decorative rod into the lower loop[O] (attached to the lower frame[N]). Repeat for remaining decorative rods.

7. Attach one end of the chain [A] the to bottom of the screw collar loop using an open chain link[J]. Attach the opposite end of the chain to the decorative loop [K] using an open chain link.
   NOTE: Once an open chain link is attached to a loop, close the link by placing a piece of cloth over the link and using a pair of pliers to gently squeeze the link closed.

8. Unscrew the threaded ring, and let the canopy and threaded ring slip down.

9. Weave fixture wires through chain links (no more than 3 inches apart), and pass through a threaded ring, canopy, screw collar loop, threaded pipe and into the outlet box.

10. Grounding instructions: (See Illus. a or b).

    • a. On fixtures where the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw, and thread it into the hole.
    • b. On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided, attach the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and a green ground screw, and thread it into the mounting strap.
      If the fixture is provided with ground wire, connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire with the wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires .

11. Make wire connections. Reference the chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly. Note: When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) are used. The neutral wire is square shaped or ridged and the other wire will be round in shape or smooth (See illus.)

12. Raise canopy to ceiling and secure canopy in place by tightening threaded ring[C] onto screw collar loop[B].
    NOTE: Make sure wires do not get pinched between the mounting strap and canopy or canopy and ceiling.

13. NOTE: Before inserting bulbs, make sure that the bottom edge of each candle sleeve is fully seated against the bottom of each socket base cup. Carefully push candle sleeves down into socket bases (if needed). Insert recommended bulbs (Not supplied).
