FAQ
The following are steps to solve common problems. We are still collecting and improving them. If you have any questions, please feel free to provide feedback.
Q: What is the password to connect to WiFi?
A: What we need to connect is Bluetooth, not WiFi. No password is
required to connect to Bluetooth. Make sure your WiFi is on and not in use
when pairing.
Q: After the car is turned off, the dongle’s indicator light remains on.
A: Because the car does not cut off all power immediately when it is
turned off, the dongle’s light does not go out immediately, but takes a while.
Rest assured, it consumes minimal power and will not drain your car battery.
Q: Can’t find your dongle’s Bluetooth or WiFi?
A: If convenient, you can use another iPhone to test. If only a specific
iPhone cannot find the dongle’s Bluetooth or WiFi, try resetting this iPhone’s
network and Bluetooth settings and restarting the phone once; if the same
problem occurs on other iPhones, the unit may be defective. In this case,
please let us know and we will refund you or send you an exchange.
Q: How does the dongle work?
A: “The dongle automatically connects to the WIFI of the dongle after
successfully connecting to the Bluetooth of the mobile phone, and then the
Bluetooth will automatically disconnect. Therefore, during use, please ensure
that the Bluetooth and WIFI of your mobile phone are turned on, and the WIFI
of the mobile phone is connected and encrypted. The dog’s WIFI and Bluetooth
are not connected to any Bluetooth devices.
Q: Audio input or output problems: Calls are rejected or transferred to
voicemail/No sound is played/Microphone
is not working/Music playback is interrupted or paused/Voice function is
abnormal…”
A: 1). Please check your phone’s Bluetooth to see if it is connected to
another device. If so, please ignore other automatically connected Bluetooth
devices or simply turn off Bluetooth.
2). Clear the programs running in the background of the phone when using
the dongle.
*Note: Bluetooth plays a pairing role in the work of the dongle. Once
pairing is complete, it only requires wifi to continue working, so it doesn’t
matter if you turn off Bluetooth. But the next time you use it, you still need
to turn on Bluetooth and let the dongle automatically pair and connect. ”
Q: Continuous disconnection?
A: The dongle relies on a WiFi connection to your phone to work. Loss of
connection is usually caused by wifi interference. Do you have other wifi
devices in your car, such as a car camera with wifi function? If so, you may
need to ignore other wifi networks when using the dongle. You can also improve
this issue by resetting your mobile Wi-Fi network. Also, it’s worth updating
the dongle’s firmware.
Q: Can the adapter pair with multiple phones?
A: The dongle can be paired with multiple iPhones, but can only be
connected to one device at a time. If you want to pair it with a new iPhone,
cancel the current connection first. Please note that by default with
Bluetooth functionality, the dongle’s system will only automatically connect
back to the last used iPhone.
Q: Unable to automatically reconnect?
A: “1). On some cars, we need to select “Automatic connection” in the Car
Play settings so that we can use the
automatic connection function of the dongle.
2). Other situations:
A. When getting on the bus, please make sure that the Bluetooth and WiFi
functions of your mobile phone are
turned on and that Bluetooth is not occupied;
B. Clear the pairing record, restart the phone, and pair the dongle
again.
3). Try to upgrade the firmware. ”
Q: Can I watch videos on Youtube and other videos?
A: The product only supports Apple’s official Car play standard APP and does
not support video playback APPs. How do I know if my car has wired Car play
function? Please check Apple’s official Car play model support website:
www.apple.com/ios/carplay/available-models/
Q: Audio delay or sound quality issues (excluding audio delay during video
playback)?
“Modify “Audio Streaming Mode”:
A: 1) Enter the dongle setting interface;
2) Find “Audio Streaming Mode” – there are 4 modes to choose from:
Default – a fixed setting suitable for most car models;
Mode 1 — fixed settings for certain models;
Mode 2 – Adaptive settings based on car parameters
Mode 3 — Unmodified car audio output settings
Generally, we recommend using the default mode and mode 2. You can also try
other modes for best results.
3) Please restart your phone before using the dongle again.
4) If this method does not work, please restore the “Audio Streaming
Mode” to “Default” and try to upgrade the dongle. ”
Q: Car Play does not start during pairing or the car prompts that the device
is incompatible/cannot recognize the
USB…
A: “Modify “Delayed Start” mode:
- Enter the dongle setting interface;
- Find “Delayed Start” – change the mode from “Default” to “Mode 1”;
- Please restart your phone before using the dongle again.
- If this method does not work, please restore the “Delayed Start” mode to “Default” and try to upgrade the dongle.
