INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing this cooker hood.

  • This instruction manual is designed to provide you with all required instructions related to the installation, use, and maintenance of the appliance.
  • To operate the unit correctly and safely, please read this instruction manual carefully before installation and usage.

SAFETY PRECAUTION

  • Never let the children operate the machine.
  • The cooker hood is for home use only, not suitable for barbecues, roast shops, and other commercial purposes.
  • Clean the cooker hood according to the instruction manual and keep the unit from danger of burning. There is a fire risk if cleaning is not carried out by the instructions.
  • Please keep the kitchen room with good ventilation before connecting this appliance; Please check that the power supply cord is undamaged. A damaged supply cord must be replaced by qualified service personnel only.
  • Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be fulfilled.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and also the persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

CAUTION:

  • Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances. Electrical Shock Hazard
  • Only plug this unit into a properly earthed outlet.
  • If you have doubts, seek advice from a suitably qualified engineer.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

Prepare for installation:

  • a. If you have an outlet to the outside, your cooker hood can be connected as above picture through a pipe (with an interior diameter of 150mm). If you don’t have an outlet to the outside, you can go with recirculation mode by using a carbon filter.
  • b. Before installation, turn the unit off and unplug it from the outlet.
  • c. The cooker hood should be placed at a distance of 25.6″~27.6″ above the cooktop for the best effect.

Note No open flames directly approach to the range hood.

AIR OUTLET INSTALLATION METHOD

  • Installation method for 5.9″ diameter pipe: insert the one-way -valve as the pie and fix the pipe.
    Attention : The bump of the one­way-value must be upward.

  • Installation method for 4.7″ diameter pipe: insert the damper as in the picture and fix the converter before placing the duct.
    The pipe near the air outlet needs to be fully extended.

PYRAMID WALL MOUNTING INSTALLATION

  • Prepare pencil, electric drill, plastic wall anchors, and level before installation. Recommended installation height: 27.6″ Required minimum installation height: 25.6″

    • Stick the installation template on the wall.
    • Drill the holes shown on the template.
      CAUTION: Peel off the paper after drilling the holes. The chimney cover height can be adjusted from 19.7″ to 27.6″.
  • Drill 3x o.3″ holes to accommodate the bracket. Screw and tighten the hook onto the wall with the screws & plastic wall anchors provided.

  • Lift the cooker hood and hang it onto the wall hook.

  • Need to drill 2 x 0.3″extra holes & fixing screws & plastic wall anchors before installation.

  • Mark the position and drill 2 holes for each chimney bracket and tighten the bracket with screws.
    WARNING The longer bracket is upper
    NOTE chimney bracket

  • Fix the one-way-value to the air outlet of the cooker hood, and then attach the pipe onto the air outlet as picture.

  • Put the upper chimney into the lower chimney. Then pulling out the upper chimney upwards. Adjust to reach the height required.

  • There are 2 methods for installing the chimney cover. Please check the below pie for reference.

    1. After drilling the 2 holes and fixing the bracket, hang the chimney cover by matching both side locks.(Pici)
    2. After drilling the 2 holes and fixing the bracket, install the chimney cover by locking with 2 screws in both side holes.(Pic2)

BEFORE USE

Please remove the white/blue
Note protective film on the range hood, chimney covers, and baffle filters.

SLIM MODEL INSTALLATION
Two methods of ventilation (A&B)

Vertical ventilation:

  • Method A: connect the 120mm air outlet to the top vent of the slim hood.

  • Method B: cover the top vent of a slim hood with the outlet cover provided and remove the back square metal plate with the tool.

  • Method A (Wall mounted):
    According to the center distance of the hole in the back of the slim hood, measure the position and then drill 2pcs 8mm holes on the wall. Insert the plastic wall anchors into each hole and tighten 2pcs ST4x3Q screws into the plastic wall anchors.
    Place the slim hood onto the tightened screws. Fix the cooker hood with a safety screw.
    The two safety screw vents are positioned on the back casing, with a diameter of 6mm. Put the one-way valve onto the hood to finish the installation.

  • Method B(Cabinet only):
    Measure the position and drill 4 holes of 6mm diameter into the bottom of the cabinet and cut the vent hole in the cabinet.
    Align the slim hood to the hole in the bottom of the cabinet and screw in with 4pcs ST4x3Q screws as in the picture.

Note

  1. The extensible pipe are optional accessory, not supplied.
  2. Take off the protection film before installation.
  3. There are 2 methods for ventilation, including horizontal ventilation and vertical ventilation. Please pay attention to the ventilation method when installing.
  • Air ventilation setting
    Outdoor exhausting:
    Turn the adjuster to the outdoor position, install the outlet, and turn on the cooker hood, and then the air will be vented from the outside outlet.

  • Recycling : The recycling mode with carbon filter, Turn the adjuster to the indoor position, install the outlet cover, turn on the cooker hood, and then the air can be vented from the inside outlet.

  • WARNING : The charcoal cannot be washed or recycled. It should be changed at most after 120 hours using. The carbon filter shouldn’t be exposed to heat.

BUILT-IN MODEL INSTALLATION

  • Before installation, check and make a hole on your kitchen cabinet in the appropriate size to fit the hood (2.0″/2.8″).
    Note The width of the cabinet shall not be less than 10.2″ and 2.0″ space shall be reserved at the two ends of the opening. (As picture)

  • Remove the filter and loosen 2pcs screws per left/right panel side, disconnect the lamp and switch connector and then put the panel away.(As picture)

  1. Fix the product body into the cabinet with 12pcs screws.
  2. connect the lamp and switch wire and fix the panel on the body and tighten 2pcs screws per left and right side, finally install the filter.

FILTER INSTALLATION

  1. Line up filter hooks to holes in the unit.
  2. Lift filter for hooks to go into holes.
  3. Lock Filter into place.

OPERATION

Push Button

  • OFF Button
    Turn off the fan.

  • Low-Speed Button
    Start the fan at a low speed.
    It is suitable for simmering and cooking
    which does not make much steam.

  • Medium Speed Button
    Start the fan at medium speed.
    This is ideal for ventilation during standard cooking operations.

  • High-Speed Button
    Start the fan at high speed.
    This is ideal for ventilation when a high density of smoke or steam has been produced.

  • Light Button
    Used for turning on/off the light.

MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning switch the unit off and pull out the plug.
Regular Cleaning
Use a soft cloth moistened with hand-warm mildly soapy water or household cleaning detergent. Never use metal pads, chemical, abrasive material or stiff brush to clean the unit.

Bulb Replacement

  1. Switch the unit off and unplug the appliance.
  2. Remove the lamp cover by unscrewing the 2 screws.
  3. Unscrew the incandescent bulb.
  4. Replace with the same type and rated bulb/lamp E14 Incandescent Bulb: (E14 Max40W).

The Bulb may be hot, leave it lo minutes before replacement.

Aluminum and carbon filter replacement

  • To install the carbon filter, the grease filter should be detached first. Press the lock and pull it downward.

Aluminum filters:
To avoid fires, clean thoroughly once a month or whenever the display pilot lights up (if fitted).To do so, remove the filters and soak in hot water and detergent for an hour. If using a dishwasher, position the filters vertically to improve the cleaning process.

Carbon filter lifetime:
Suggest changing to a new one every 3 months (According to different kitchen conditions, the lifetime of the carbon filter might be longer or shorter than 3 months).

Installation:
Fix the carbon filter into the unit and turn it in a clockwise direction. Repeat the same on the other side.

Important Notice:

  1. Make sure the filter is securely locked. Otherwise, it would loosen and cause abnormal noise and danger.
  2. Using a carbon filter would reduce the air flow of the range hood.
