• Power Source: Al-202 is a USB powered device. Use only with PC / Laptop to power up the device with USBA+B Cable.

Front & Rear Panel Controls & Features

1. Combo Jack Sockets: To connect microphones, instruments (eg, guitar), or line level signals for input 1 or 2. Combo sockets accept both XLR and ¼” (6.35 mm) jacks. Microphones will normally be connected using XLR Socket: Instruments and line level signals should be connected via ¼” (6.35 mm) jack of either TR or TRS type. Do not connect anything other than a microphone – e.g., the output of a sound module or FX unit – via an XLR, as the signal level will overload the preamp, resulting in distortion; also, if phantom power is enabled, the equipment may be damaged.
2. CLIP and SIG LED: These LEDs glow to indicate the signal & Clip level of the Mic/Line/Instrument for lnput -1.
3. MIC/Line Input Gain Controls: To control the gain level of MIC/Line/Instrument for lnput-1 or lnput-2.
4. CLIP and SIG LED: These LEDs glow to indicate the signal & Clip level of the Mic/Line/Instrument for lnput-2_
5. Output Volume Control: To control the volume level of mix signal for L&R as outputs at rear panel.
6. Power and +48V LED: These LED’s indicate the power ON and phantom power supply +48V ON.
7. Headphone Jack Socket: 6.3mm (¼”) stereo jack for headphone output to monitor the mix signal.
8. Headphone Level Control: To adjust the output level of the stereo headphone output
9. Direct Monitor Switch: Press this switch to monitor the mix signal, i.e., individual input as well as from computer (keep direct monitor switch in press condition)_
10. PAD : when pad function is selected by pressing the switch it decrease the input level of input-1 or2 going for the DAW by 18dB, use this function when the input source has high signal level. Keep this switch in released condition for normal operation.
11. Line/Instrument Switch: To select the mode between line and instrument for input 1 or 2. When switch is pressed then the gain is adjusted for instrumental input and when switch is released then the ¼” (6.35 mm) jack input is configured for line level signal.
12. Output Jack Socket: Mono L&R line output socket to connect the powered speaker or any other amplifier.
13. +48V Phantom power ON/OFF Switch: Phantom power switch for MIC inputs. It enables 48V Phantom power at XLR connectors of both combo connector. (MIC-1 &2)
14. Kensington Lock: It is the security lock for the equipment. (Not provided with the equipment)
15. USB Socket: It is type B USB socket to connect the audio interface to computer, audio interface use USB socket to power up and data transfer.
    Note: Al-202 is a USB powered device, it is recommenced to connect with PC/ Laptop only.

Quick Start Gulde

Thank you for purchasing anAl-202 USB interface! Follow these easy steps to get started quickly.

FOR MAC USERS

1. Connect theAl-202 to your Mac using the included USB cable.
2. If your computer has USB-C ports, use a USB-C to USB-B cable (rated for USB2.0), or a USB-B to USB-Aadapter, (to be brought separately).
3. Go to the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.
4. Click Sound and choose the USBAUDIO CODEC as the input and output device.

FOR WINDOWS USERS

1. Connect theAl-202 to your PC using the included USB cable.
   If your computer has USB-C ports, use a USB-C to USB-B cable (rated for USB2.0), or a USB-B to USB-Aadapter, (to be brought separately).

2. Go to the Windows Sound Control Panel and choose USB AUDIO CODEC as the default input and output device.

3. Connect speakers and/or a pair of headphones to the Al-202, so you can hear your computer’s audio output. For powered speakers, connect them to the outputs on the back panel.

4. You are now ready to start using your Al-202 interface.

USB Audio Class-compliant Operation
Ahuja Al-202 Audio Interface is a USB audio class compliant device. This means that you can connect it to your Mac OS or Windows with a USB cable and use it without installing any software drivers. The computer recognizes your Al- 202Audio Interface as a USB audio device and makes its inputs and outputs available to your host audio software. Basic settings, such as the hardware’s sample rate, are made in your host software.
