Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- Ensure the grinder is placed on a stable surface near the discharge point.
- Connect the power cord to a suitable power outlet as per the model requirements.
- If applicable, connect the float switch for automatic operation.
- Make sure the discharge pipe is properly connected to the unit’s 1-1/4 NPT discharge.
Operation
- Switch on the grinder using the provided power switch.
- Monitor the grinder’s performance and ensure proper shredding of materials.
- If using the float switch, ensure it is functioning correctly to regulate operation based on liquid levels.
Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the cutting system and impeller for any signs of wear or damage.
- Clean out any debris that may accumulate under the cutter using exclusion cleanout slots.
- Check and replace seals if necessary to prevent leaks.
FAQ
- Q: Do I need a separate control panel for all models?
- A: Models LSG202M and LSG202A come with internal capacitors and do not require a separate control panel. LSG202M-C, however, requires a control panel with appropriately sized start and run capacitors due to its external capacitors.
- Q: What is the standard cord length for these models?
- A: All models come with a standard 25′ cord, except for LSG202M-C which features a 35′ cord. Y-cord models have a longer 50′ cord.

LSG200-Series
Liberty Pumps LSG200-Series Grinder Pumps meet the demanding needs of commercial and residential sewage applications where difficult solids-handling ability is crucial. The LSG200-Series features a superior cutting system made of hardened 440 stainless steel – Rockwell C 58, for shearing solids into small particles before being passed to the discharge by the impeller under high pressure. Applications include individuals or groups of homes, motels, schools, shopping centres, lakefront developments and systems requiring high- pressure sewage pumping.

- 1-phase models are thermally protected. 3-phase models require a properly sized control panel. Maximum intermittent fluid temperature 140° F.
- Models with the “Y” suffix feature a 50′ integrated Y-cord with a float switch and bare leads.
LSG202M and LSG202A feature internal capacitors and do not require a separate control panel for operation. LSG202M-C features external capacitors, requiring a panel with appropriately sized start and run capacitors.
