T1 MAN-000293-10 Tomahawk Digital Tape Measure User Guide
DASHING ON OLED
Dashing on the OLED display is a feature of the T1 Tomahawk to prevent showing
an incorrect measurement on the display. Seeing dashes is a normal part of the
T1 operation and part of the robust error-checking redundancy features built
into the T1 encoding system.
Dashing may appear during initial start-up, routine use, or other conditions.
To relocate the position on the T1, slowly extend and retract the tape measure
blade. The T1 will quickly locate where it is and display a measurement on the
screen.
NOTE: Slowly extend and/or retract the tape measure blade to allow the T1 to locate its position.
AUTOLOCK
By default the tape blade will not retract unless the Autolock button is depressed. The user can enable / disable this feature by sliding the Autolock selection slider upwards / downwards as shown.

QUICK ACTIONS NAVIGATION
TOGGLE MEASURE FRONT/BACK
The T1 can measure either from the front reference surface or from the back of the T1. Measuring from the back allows the T1 to capture internal measurements effortlessly.
NOTE: To confirm that you are using the MEASURE BACK Quick Action, look for the bracket on the right side of the OLED Display. No bracket means you are in the default mode using MEASURE FRONT Quick Action.
TOGGLE RELATIVE
The T1 can toggle between absolute measurements (how much of the tape blade is extended) or relative measurements (user selects a “0” position at any point along the tape measure).
NOTE: To confirm that you are using the TOGGLE RELATIVE Quick Action, look for the bracket on the left side of the OLED Display.
SHOW CENTER
The T1 can display the center of a given measurement.
NOTE: To confirm that you are using the SHOW CENTER Quick Action, look for the two arrows in the middle of the OLED Display.
CREATE GROUP
Quickly create groups to further organize saved measurements. Groups are automatically imported as tags in the ROCK Jobsite App.
LAYOUT GUIDE
Layout Guide shows multiples of the currently selected measurements on the E-Paper Display. For example, if you select a 5 inch measurement, the T1 OLED blinks when you reach 5, 10, 15, and 20 inches.
CHARGING THE T1 BATTERY
The T1 is powered by the b1 rechargeable battery pack. To charge the battery of your T1, slide up the Battery Lid located at the back of the device and connect a USB-C cable to a source of at least 1 amp. The T1 takes approximately 2 hours to charge fully, depending on the power source.
ROCK JOBSITE APP
With the ROCK Jobsite App, the T1 Tomahawk can send measurements and other data over Bluetooth to any mobile device. The ROCK Jobsite App allows for streamlined measurement organization, sharing, calculations, and other common jobsite functions, all in a centralized, easy to use, mobile application.
