Safety instructions

• The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry environments only.
• Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
• Do not use the product in a damp environment and avoid splashing water.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
• Never apply force when using the product or during installation.
• The battery is permanently installed and cannot be removed; dispose of the product as a whole in accordance with the statutory regulations.
• Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
• Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
• Do not incinerate the battery or the product.
• Do not tamper with or damage/heat/disassemble the batteries/rechargeable batteries.

System requirements

The keyboard supports Bluetooth®-enabled devices with the iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, Android and Windows operating systems.
The following requirements must be met to enable its use:

• iPad devices require iPadOS 14 or higher
• iPhone devices require iOS 14 or higher
• Android devices require Android 8.0 or higher
• Windows devices require Windows 10 or higher
• MacOS 11 or higher

Check whether the latest version is installed and carry out a software update if necessary
Note

• For proper functioning of the multi-device keyboard, make sure that the correct keyboard layout (QWERTZ, QWERTY, etc.) is activated in the settings of your device.
• Please be aware that your device must support some functions if they are to be used.
• If some of the keys of the multi-device keyboard do not function properly on your device due to  software, you can execute them via the virtual keyboard.
• Please refer to the operating instructions of your device for more information.

Setup

Warning – rechargeable battery

• Only use suitable charging devices or USB ports to charge the product.
• Do not use defective chargers or USB ports and do not attempt to repair them.
• Do not overcharge the product or allow the battery to completely discharge.
• Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
• When stored over a long period of time, batteries should be charged regularly (at least every three months).
• Only charge batteries within a temperature range of 10°C-40°C.

Note

• The enclosed USB cable is only used for charging this product. It is not suitable for charging other devices or for transferring data.
• Fully charge the battery once before using the multidevice keyboard for the first time.
• Start the charging process of the multi-device keyboard by connecting the enclosed USB-C charging cable to the USB-C socket of the keyboard (9) and to the USB port of a PC/notebook.
• Alternatively, you can charge the multi-device keyboard using a suitable USB charger. To do this, consult the operating instructions for the USB charger you are using.
• The charging status LED (4) lights up red when charging is active. Once the battery is fully charged, the charging status LED (4) goes out again.
• If the battery capacity is low, the charging status LED (4) starts to flash red during operation. Then charge the battery of the multi-device keyboard as described above.

Note – Stand function

• For optimum handling, only use your device in landscape format in the integrated stand function.
• To do this, fold down the flap of the cover and secure it using the magnet (C).

Operation

Note

• The functions described in this section are only possible with Bluetooth ®-enabled devices.
• Note that the maximum range for Bluetooth ® is 10 metres without obstacles such as walls, people, etc.

1. Bluetooth® initial connection (pairing)
   Note – pairing

   • Make sure that your Bluetooth  ®-enabled device is switched on and that Bluetooth ® is activated.

   • Make sure that your Bluetooth ®-enabled device is visible to other Bluetooth ® devices.

   • Please refer to the operating instructions of your device for more information.

   • Slide the OFF/ON switch (8) to the ON position to switch on the multi-device keyboard.

   • Press and hold Fn and the Bluetooth ® connection 1 button (5) until the Bluetooth ® connection 1 status LED (1) starts to flash blue continuously.

   • Open the Bluetooth ® settings on your device and wait
     until the list of found Bluetooth® devices shows Hama Travel 600.

   • Select Hama Travel 600, follow the instructions of your device if necessary and wait until the keyboard is displayed as connected in your device’s Bluetooth ® settings. The Bluetooth ® connection status LED (1) goes out.

   • You can now use the multi-device keyboard.

   • To connect a second end device, press and hold Fn and the Bluetooth ® connection 2 button (6) until the Bluetooth ® connection 2 status LED (2) starts to flash blue continuously.

   • Open the Bluetooth® settings on your device and wait until the list of found Bluetooth® devices shows Hama Travel 600.

   • Select Hama Travel 600, follow the instructions of your device if necessary and wait until the keyboard is displayed as connected in your device’s Bluetooth ® settings. The Bluetooth ® connection status LED (2) goes out.

   • You can now use the multi-device keyboard.

   • To connect a third end device, press and hold Fn and the Bluetooth ® connection 3 button (7) until the Bluetooth ® connection 3 status LED (3) starts to flash blue continuously.

   • Open the Bluetooth® settings on your device and wait until the list of found Bluetooth® devices shows Hama Travel 600.

   • Select Hama Travel 600, follow the instructions of your device if necessary and wait until the keyboard is displayed as connected in your device’s Bluetooth ® settings. The Bluetooth ® connection status LED (2) goes out.

   • You can now use the multi-device keyboard.

   • To select the desired device / connection, press Fn for connection 1 and the Bluetooth ® connection 1 button (5), Fn for connection 2 and the Bluetooth ® connection 2 button (6), Fn for connection 3 and the Bluetooth ® connection 3 button (7).

2. Automatic Bluetooth® connection (once pairing has been performed)
   Note

   • Make sure that your Bluetooth ®-enabled device is switched on and that Bluetooth ® is activated.

   • Make sure that your Bluetooth ®-enabled device is visible to other Bluetooth ® devices.

   • Please refer to the operating instructions of your device for more information.

   • Slide the OFF/ON switch (2) to the ON position to switch on the multi-device keyboard.

   • To select the desired device / connection, press Fn for connection 1 and the Bluetooth ® connection 1 button (5), Fn for connection 2 and the Bluetooth ® connection 2 button (6), Fn for connection 3 and the Bluetooth ® connection3button (7).

   • You can now use the multi-device keyboard.
     Note – connection impaired
     After a successful initial pairing, the connection is established automatically. If the Bluetooth ® connection is not established automatically, check the following:

   • In your device’s Bluetooth ® settings, check that Hama Travel 600 is connected. If not, repeat the steps described in 6.1. Bluetooth ® initial connection.

   • Check whether obstacles are impairing the range. If so, move the devices closer together.

3. Operating system change

   • The Hama Travel 600 keyboard supports three different operating systems. You can select the desired operating system with the following key combinations:
   • fn+Qfor Apple iOS, iPadOS, MacOS
   • fn+Wfor Android
   • fn+Efor Windows

4. Multimedia keys
   The multimedia keys allow direct quick access to various applications and functions. The functions highlighted in blue on the keyboard are activated by pressing the key combination Fn and the respective key.

5. Standby and switch off

6. The keyboard automatically switches to standby mode if it is not used for more than 10 minutes.

7. Press any key to reactivate the keyboard.

8. Move the OFF/ON switch (2) to the OFF position to switch the multi-device keyboard off.

Care and maintenance

1. Only clean this product using a lint-free, slightly damp cloth and do not use any harsh cleaners. Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
