User Manual
Introduction.
The “Keymaker for MB trucks” is designed for:
- new key programming using ECU EEPROM;
- cloning of the original key.
Supported car models: Mercedes Benz Actros, Atego, Axor, Economics.
Pic.1. Programmer kit.
The programmer kit (Pic.1) contains:
- Main adapter with LCD.
- Antenna board.
- Clips with cable for EEPROM reading.
- USB type B cable.
Power supply: via USB cable from the PC USB port. There is NO communication between the PC and the Device!
**How to connect.
**
Connect the antenna cable and USB cable to according connectors of the Main
adapter.
Plug in the USB cable to the USB port of the PC.
Now the programmer is ready for working.
New key programming
Prepare the Programmer according (see point 1), connect clips to the EEPROM
microchip from ECU (clear it from vanishing before it), and wait for the
appearance of the Main menu mode on LCD (pic.2). Select the “NEW” line from the Main menu with button 1 and
press button 2.
You will jump into the Car Model Selection menu (pic.3).
Select the model, you need with button 1. Press button 2. Car’s made-year
selection menu will appear on LCD (pic.4).
Select the year made with button 1 and then press button 2. Data from ECU
EEPROM will be written in the second line of the LCD menu (pic.5).
Put a transponder chip or key blank with a transponder on the Antenna board
(pic.6).
Press button 2. You will see “WAIT..” (pic.7) during the programming.
If the transponder writing is successfully finished “write ok”(pic.8) will
appear on the LCD. Press button 2 to go back to Main Menu.
Possible ERRORS.
If the programmer detects errors during writing it reports them on LCD. Use
button 2 for going back to Main Menu for trying writing again.
NO EEPROM ANSWER.
Check to clear EEPROM chip pins and contact quality between clips and EEPROM
chip. Check the connection of the clips cable and programmer.
ERROR A.
The programmer can’t detect the transponder chip in the antenna area, it’s
possible that there is no transponder inside the key blank or the transponder
ID is wrong. Aloud transponders – ID T5.
ERROR B, ERROR C.
Wrong transponder’s answer for programmer’s commands.
Check if you place the transponder chip properly on the antenna board. Try to
move a bit it’s placing.
Original key cloning.
Prepare the Programmer according to (see point 1), and wait for the appearance
of the Main menu mode on LCD (pic.9). Select the “COPY” line from the Main menu with button 1 and
press button 2 (pic.9).
You will see Place Original on LCD(pic.10).
Place the original key on the antenna board like in pic.6. Press button 2 for
reading key data. You will see “WAIT..” (pic.12) during the reading and PLACE
TARGET when the programmer will be ready for writing of the new transponder
chip (pic.11).
Put a transponder chip or key blank
with a transponder on the Antenna board (pic.6).
Press button 2. You will see “WAIT..” (pic.12) during the programming.
If transponder writing is successfully finished “copy ok”(pic.13) will appear
on the LCD. Press button 2 for going back to Main Menu.
Cloning ERRORS
If the programmer detects errors during writing it reports them on LCD. Use
button 2 for going back to Main Menu for trying writing again.
ERROR 5.
The programmer can’t read the original key, it’s possible there is no
transponder inside the key blank.
ERROR A.
The programmer can’t write a new transponder chip, it’s possible there is no
chip inside the key blank or the wrong transponder ID.
ERROR B, ERROR C.
Wrong transponder’s answer for programmer’s commands.
Check if you place the transponder chip properly on the antenna board. Try to
move a bit it’s placing.
