Product Usage Instructions
Application:
The nylon loose-tube cable series is designed for use in termite-prone areas
due to its hard outer nylon jacket protecting against termites and insects. It
is suitable for installations where robust design and low attenuation are
required.
Design Features:
The cables feature a dry waterblocked concentric core, and loose tube design
with SZ stranded loose tubes that offer excellent performance under tensile
loads. Each tube contains 12 fibres and is jacketed with black HDPE and blue
Nylon sheath for protection.
Installation:
- Prepare the fibre by removing the outer jacket carefully.
- Access the fibres mid-span as needed for connections.
- Avoid exceeding the bending radius specified to prevent damage to the fibres.
- Secure the cable properly to prevent tension on the fibre during installation.
FAQ:
-
Q: What is the maximum number of fibres that the Nylon Loose Tube Cable can support?
A: The cable can support up to 288 fibres, providing ample capacity for various network installations. -
Q: What is the purpose of the SZ stranded loose tubes in the design?
A: The SZ stranded loose tubes offer enhanced performance under significant tensile loads, making the cable suitable for installations where strength and durability are crucial.
Features
- Up to 288 fibers
- Suitable for installation in duct
- Excellent optical performance with low-loss fibers
- A dry cable design – easy to prepare and identify fibres
- Fully dielectric design
- Excellent mechanical performance
- UV stabilised materials
- Termite protected design
Application
The nylon loose-tube cable cable series combines robust design, ultra-low attenuation and excellent installation performance. Nylon loose tube is designed for use in termite-prone areas as the hard outer nylon jacket protects against termites and insects. The SZ-stranded loose tubes provide excellent performance even under significant tensile loads.
Design
- The cables are based on a dry waterblocked concentric core, loose tube design with up to 24 tubes per cable.
- The cables have one or two layers of protective SZ laid tubes made of a robust PBT compound where each tube has 12 fibres. (excluding 6f)
- The tubes are jacketed by a black HDPE and blue Nylon sheath in compliance with AS 1049.
- The design facilitates easy fibre preparation and mid-span access.
