Introduction

This chapter provides information about hardware configuration procedures.
When connecting devices, hold them carefully and wear a grounded wrist strap to avoid static electricity.

Installing the Monitor Stand

1. Place the monitor on the protective foam packaging. Fit the stand to recesses in the monitor.

2. Push the stand along the recess in the monitor until it locks into place.
3. Connect the base to the stand and tighten the screws to secure the base.
4. Before placing the monitor, make sure the base assembly is properly attached installed.

  • When adjusting the monitor, do not touch the display panel.

Connecting the monitor to your computer

1. Turn off your computer.

2. Connect the Video cable to the monitor and computer.
3. Connect the power cord to the external power supply. (Figure A)
4. Connect the external power supply to the monitor’s power port. (Figure B)
5. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. (Figure C)
6. Turn on the monitor. (Figure D)
7. Turn on your computer and the monitor will automatically detect the Input Source.

Troubleshooting

Power LED is off.
  • Press the monitor power button again.
  • Check that the monitor power cable is connected correctly.
No picture.
  • Check if your computer’s graphics card is i nstalled correctly.
  • Check that the computer and monitor are connected to electrical outlets and tu rned on.
  • Check if the monitor signal cable is connected correctly.
  • The computer may be in standby mode. Press any button to activate the monitor.
  • The image is not the correct size or is not centered on the screen.
  • Refer to Preset Display Modes to select the appropriate setting for your monitor on your computer.
No Plug & Play support.

• Check that the monitor power cable is connected correctly.
• Check if the monitor signal cable is connected correctly.
• Check if your computer and graphics card are Plug & Play compatible.

Icons, fonts, or images are blurry, fuzzy, or have color issues.
  • Do not use vi deo extension cables.
    Adjust brightness and contrast.

  • Customize RGB colors or set color temperature.

  • Check if the monitor signal cable is connected correctly.

  • Check the si gnal cable connector for bent pins.

The monitor starts to flicker or waves appear.
  • Change the refresh rate to suit your monitor.
  • Up date your graphics card dri vers.
  • Place the monitor away from electri cal devices that may cause electromagnetic i nterference (EMI).

Safety instructions

  • Read the safety instructions carefully and thoroughly.
  • Follow all cautions and warnings on the device or in the user manual.
  • Service activities may only be performed by qualified persons.

Power supply

  • Before connecting the device to the power socket. make sure that the power supply voltage is within safe limits and has been correctly set within the range of 100~240 V.
  • If the power cord has a 3-prong plug, do not remove the grounding pin. The device must be connected to a grounded socket power supply.
  • Verify that the on-site power distribution system is equipped with a circuit breaker rated at 120/240V, 20A (max).
  • Always unplug the device if it will not be used for a long time power cord or turn off the power to the wall socket to ensure zero energy consumption.
  • The power cord must be routed so that no one accidentally steps on it or trips over it. Do not place anything on the power cord.
  • If the device is used with a power adapter, please use only the power adapter provided by MSI and approved for use with this device.

Environmental conditions

  • To reduce the likelihood of heat-related injury or overheating, do not place the device on a soft, unstable surface or block its ventilation openings.
  • Use the device only on a hard, flat and stable surface.
  • To avoid tipping over, attach the device to a desk, wall, or solid object using an antitip mount that will secure the device and keep it in place.
  • Store the device away from moisture and do not expose it to high temperatures to avoid fire or electric shock.
  • Do not leave the device in an unventilated place with a storage temperature above 60y or below -20y, as this may damage the device.
  • The maximum operating temperature is approximately 40y.
  • Before cleaning the device, disconnect the power plug. Use a soft cloth rather than industrial chemicals to clean the device. Never pour liquids into housing openings as this may damage the device or cause electric shock.
  • There must be no objects with a strong magnetic or electric field near the device.
  • If any of the following situations occur, the device should be checked by service Personel
  1.  The power cord or plug is damaged.
  2.   Liquid has entered the device.
  3.  The device has been exposed to moisture.
  4.  The device does not function properly or cannot be started according to user manual.
  5. The device has been dropped and damaged.
  6. The device shows obvious signs of damage.

TÜV Rheinland certificate

TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification
Blue light has been shown to cause eye fatigue and discomfort. MSI now offers monitors with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification to ensure users’ visual comfort and well-being. Please follow the instructions below to alleviate the symptoms of prolonged work in front of a monitor and exposure to blue light.
The screen should be positioned 2028 inches (5070 cm) from your eyes and slightly below eye level.
Blinking frequently helps reduce eye strain when looking at a screen for long periods of time.
You should take 20-minute breaks every 2 hours. During breaks, focus your eyes on a distant object and look at it through something
at least 20 seconds. During breaks, push yourself to release tension or relieve body pain.
Turn on the optional Low Blue Light feature.

TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free Certificate
TÜV Rheinland has tested this product against screen flickering, which is visible and invisible to the human eye and causes eye strain.
TÜV Rheinland has developed a set of tests that define minimum standards for different frequency ranges. The test suite has been developed based on international or industry standard standards that have been increased.

The product has been tested in a laboratory according to these criteria. The phrase “flicker-free” confirms that the device does not have flicker
defined by the standard as visible or invisible flicker in the frequency range 03000 Hz at various brightness settings. Flicker-free will not occur when Anti-Flicker is turned on. image size/MPRT. (Availability of Prevent Image Size/MPRT depends on the model.)

ENERGY STAR certified
ENERGY STAR is a program of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US Department of Energy (DOE) aimed at promoting energy efficiency. This product qualifies for ENERGY STAR at “factory default settings” that provide energy savings. Changing the factory default image settings or enabling other features will increase energy consumption and may exceed the limits required to qualify for ENERGY STAR.
