PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
As residue or oil remains in the toaster or heating element, it usually will emit an odour for the first use. It is normal and will not occur after several times use. For the first use, it is suggested to operate according to the below steps, except without bread. Then let the toaster cool down and begin toasting the first slice.
OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
-
Remove all packaging and place the toaster on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
-
To check crumb tray is completely positioned in place before using.
-
Check inside the bread slots to ensure everything has been removed.
-
Connect the plug to the wall outlet and power on the toaster.
-
Do not place bread in the toaster for the first use. Instead, lower the bread carriage handle to allow the heating elements to preheat and burn off any dust and residues that may have accumulated during manufacturing or assembly.
-
Once the above is completed, do not operate the toaster when empty.
-
Insert two slices of bread into the bread slots. The bread carriage handle must be in the up position when inserting the bread slices.
-
Set the browning level for the bread by adjusting the browning control knob according to your desired degree of browning. There are 7 levels the lowest brownish is at “1”. Position “3” can toast the bread to a golden colour. Respectively, position “7” delivers the darkest colour result. It is always advisable to start the toasting at the lowest level first and then adjust accordingly.
Note: The browed colour of single bread is darker than that of double bread at the same level. Always try from the lower level to the higher level to avoid over-tasting. -
Press the bread carriage handle down vertically until it is positioned in place, the indicator of Cancel will be illuminated and toasting begins. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset colour, the bread carriage handle will automatically spring up, and you can remove the bread readily.
Note: The bread carriage handle can only be latched when the appliance connects to the power supply. -
During the toasting process, you may observe the toasting colour. If it is satisfactory, you may interrupt the toasting process by pressing the “Cancel” button at any time.
-
If the bread is just taken out from the refrigerator, defrost the bread first by pressing the “Defrost” button and the indicator light above will turn red. Under this mode, the bread will be toasted to the preset colour.
-
If you want to reheat the cold toasted bread, press the “Reheat” button and the indicator light above will turn red. Under this mode, the toasting time is fixed. When the time is up, the carriage handle will automatically bounce up to end the reheating process.
-
If the toaster is not plugged, the bread carriage handle will not lock in place.
-
After use, unplug the toaster from the wall outlet.
-
Before plugging or unplugging the main plug of the toaster from the wall outlet, make sure the bread carriage handle is set in the OFF position.
