Safety Instructions for Heating Pads
Before using this appliance, read the following safety instructions and the separately enclosed instruction manual very carefully.

not insert pins!
| Do not use the heating pad folded or rucked-up together.
| Not to be used by very young children (0 – 3 years).
| The heating pad can be washed on the gentle cycle at a maximum of 40 °C.
| Do not tumble dry.
| Do not iron.
| Do not bleach.
| Do not dry-clean.
- The instructions in the instruction manual in the chapter “ Cleaning” must be followed.
- Use only with detachable controller GL-01.
WARNING:
- This appliance is not intended for use in hospitals.
- The appliance’s cable and control unit may create a risk of entanglement, strangulation, tripping or stepping if they are not correctly positioned. The user must ensure that excess sills and electrical cables are arranged in a safe manner.
- This appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating.
- Excessive use may cause skin burns.
- Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react to overheating.
- The appliance may be used by children older than 3 years and younger than 8 years under supervision and with the control always set to the minimum temperature value.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- The appliance must not be used wet. Do not use it in rooms with high humidity such as bathrooms, etc.
- During continuous use, the step switch must only be set to step “ 1 “.
- If there is a possibility that the user will fall asleep using the appliance, the appliance may only be set to step “ 1 ”.
- Only clean the step switch with a dry cloth.
- When the appliance is not in use, it must be stored in the manner described in the instruction manual in the chapter “Storage”.
- When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.
- Avoid bending the appliance sharply by placing objects on it during storage.
- The appliance is to be checked regularly for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs or if the appliance has been used improperly or if the appliance does not work, it must be returned to the dealer before using it again.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
General Safety Instructions
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- Always switch off the appliance and pull the mains plug out of the socket (pull the mains plug, not the cable) when you are not using the appliance, attaching accessories, for cleaning or in the event of a fault.
- Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
- Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
