Safety Instructions for Hand Blenders

Before using this appliance, read the following safety instructions and the separately enclosed instruction manual very carefully.

WARNING: Risk of Injury!

  • The blades of the knives are sharp.
  • Be careful when handling the sharp blades. There is a risk of injury, especially when cleaning!
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
  • This appliance shall not be used by children.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Appliances may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved.
  • Only process foodstuffs using this appliance. The abuse for any other purpose may result in injuries.

CAUTION: The motor housing is not intended to be immersed in water during cleaning. Follow the instructions we give you in the instruction manual in the chapter “Cleaning”.

General Safety Instructions

WARNING:

  • Make sure that the motor housing does not get wet. Switching on a motor that has become wet can result in an electric shock or short circuit.
  • Do not touch any moving parts of the appliance. Always wait for them to come to a standstill.
  • Make sure that long hair does not get caught in the appliance during operation.
  • The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for envisaged purposes. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
  • Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid), and sharp edges.
  • Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
  • Always pull the mains plug out of the socket (pull the mains plug, not the cable) when attaching accessories or in the event of a malfunction.
  • The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
  • Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician.
  • Use only original spare parts.
  • In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene, etc.) out of their reach.

WARNING: Do not allow small children to play with the plastic foil. There is a danger of suffocation!
