Safety Notes

  • This product is intended for private, non-commercial useonly.
  • Use the product for its intended purpose only.
  • Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
  • Keep this product, as allelectrical products, out of the reach of children!
  • Protect the product from dirt, moistureand overheating, and only use it in adry environment.
  • Do not use the product in areas wherethe use of electronic devices is not permitted.
  • Do not drop the product and do not exposeittoany major shocks.
  • Do not put the product near interference fields, metal frames, computers, TVs, etc. Electronic devices and window frames can negatively affect the product’sfunctionality.
  • Do not modify the product in any way.Doing so voids the warranty.
  • Keep the packaging materialout of the reach of children duetothe risk of suffocation.

Warning –Batteries

  • When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and -markings) and insert the batteries accordingly.Failuretodosocould result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
  • Only use batteries that match the specified type.Keep the instructionsfor the correct choice of batteries included with the operating instructions of devices safe for future reference.
  • Before you insert the batteries, clean the batterycontacts and the polarity contacts.
  • Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
  • Replace allthe batteries in aset at the sametime.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different manufacturers.
  • Remove the batteries from products that arenot being usedfor an extended period (unless these arebeing kept ready foranemergency).
  • Do not short-circuit batteries.
  • Do not charge batteries.
  • Do not burn batteries or heatthem up.
  • Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmfulheavy metals.
  • Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.
  • Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
  • **** Ensurethat batteries with damaged housings do not comeinto contact with water.
  • Keep batteries out of the reach of children.

Getting Started

4.1. Inserting the battery

  • Remove the battery that was already inserted into the clock,remove the protective film if necessary as wellasthe contact interrupter and there-insertthe batterywith the correct polarity.The clockisreadyfor operation.

4.2. Replacing the battery

  • Removeand dispose of any used batteries. Insert the new battery (AA). Ensurethat the polarity of the battery corresponds to the symbols in the battery compartment.

Installation

You can mount the wallclock on awallusing the opening on the back.

**** Warning –Mounting Note

  • Beforemounting the clock, ensurethat the chosen wallissuitable forthe weight to be mounted, and make surethat thereare no electrical wires, water,gas or other lines at the installation site on the wall.
  • Purchase special fastening materials from specialised dealers.
  • Do not mount the product above locations wherepersons might linger.

Operation

  • Once the battery is inserted properly,the clock willautomatically be set to 12:00 and its reception willbeactivated. As soon as the DCFsignal was received and processed (approx. 3minutes up to amaximum of 15 minutes), the correct time is displayed automatically.
  • Do not move the clock during this process.
  • If the clock has not correctly set itself after 15 minutes, thereisaproblem with the reception or with theselected location.
  • Repeat the setting process at another location. Forthis purpose, first remove the battery for about 1minute and then put it back in the battery compartment, or press and hold the REC button for 3seconds. The search for the DCF signal willstart again.

Setting the time manually

  • Hold down the MSET buttonuntil the appropriate time appears.
  • As soon as the clock receives the DCF signal, it willreset the time.

Reset button

  • Press this button after changing the battery.

Note
Note that electronic devices such as TVs, PCs,etc. can interferewith receptionwhen located within up to two metres of the product.

Care and Maintenance

Only clean this product with aslightly moist, lint-free cloth, and do notuse aggressive cleaning agents. Make surethat water does not get into the product.
