Product Usage Instructions

Installing the Wall Mount

  1. Measure and secure the mounting bracket to the wall with 4 anchors & short screws.
  2. Insert RJ45 cables to the WAN/LAN port of MI14.
  3. Turn and secure MI12 to the mounting bracket.

Installing the Ceiling Mount with a Metal Plate

  1. Measure and drill 4 6mm holes according to the mounting bracket and attach 4 long screws (not yet fastened for now).
  2. Fasten the mounting bracket with a metal plate. Make sure to apply washers, spring washers, and nuts in order.
  3. Insert RJ45 cables to the WAN/LAN port of MI14 then turn and secure MI14 to the mounting bracket.

Accessing the AP’s Settings Menu

Method 1:

  1. Configure your PC’s IP setting to DHCP to automatically retrieve an IP address.
  2. Connect your PC’s Wi-Fi to the SSID printed on the rear of the  AP corresponding to the frequency of connection (2.4G / 5G) using the provided password.
  3. Enter the IP address 192.168.2.1 in your browser.
  4. In the PRISM login screen, use the following login details: Username: prism, Password: prism

Method 2:

  1. Configure your PC’s IP setting to static and set the IP address to any address from 192.168.19.2 to 192.168.19.250.
  2. Connect your PC’s network port to the WAN port on the AP.
  3. Enter the IP address 192.168.19.1 in your browser.
  4. In the PRISM login screen, use the following login details: Username: prism, Password: prism

Method 3:

  1. Configure your PC’s IP setting to DHCP to automatically retrieve an IP address.
  2. Connect your PC’s network port to any of the LAN ports on the AP.
  3. Enter the IP address 192.168.2.1 in your browser.
  4. In the PRISM login screen, use the following login details: Username: prism, Password: prism

FAQ

  • Q: What should I do if the LED status is not as described in the manual?
    • A: If the LED status does not match the indications provided in the manual, please contact our Worldwide Enterprise Support at +886-3-6006899 or email us at sales@prismwifi.com for assistance.
  • Q: How can I upgrade the firmware of my device?
    • A: To upgrade the firmware, wait for the Flash Green / Red every second LED status indication. This signals that the firmware is upgrading. Do not interrupt this process until it is completed.
  • Q: Can I use a different mounting method other than wall or ceiling mount?

  3. Insert RJ45 cables to the WAN/LAN port of MI14 then turn and secure MI14 to the mounting bracket.

Accessing the AP’s Songs Menu

Via Wi-Fi

  1. Configure your PC’s IP setting to DHCP to automatically retrieve an IP address.
  2. Connect your PC’s Wi-Fi to the SSID printed on the rear of the AP that corresponds to the frequency of the connection (2.4G / 5G) using the password “passphrase”
  3. Enter the IP address 192.168.2.1 in your browser.
  4. In the PRISM login screen use the following login:
    • Username: prism
