EASTWOOD RUBBERIZED RUST ENCAPSULATOR® is a high-performance flexible coating that applies directly over rust and provides long-term corrosion protection. Unlike “off the shelf” under coatings, Rubberized Rust Encapsulator does not create air pockets that trap rust allowing it to spread. Simply apply directly over rust or bare metal and there is no need to topcoat. Will -]withstand temperatures up to 250°F and will remain flexible.
DIRECTIONS – READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT!
- Ensure that the surface is free of all loose rust, scale, and paint – cleaning with a stiff wire brush should be sufficient.
- Remove all dust, oil, grease, or chemical contamination using EASTWOOD PRE Painting Prep (#10041Z or 11949Z). Allow to dry thoroughly.
- Shake can well and listen for rattle of mixing ball. Continue to shake for at least 2 minutes. Shake for 10 seconds at 1 to 2 minute intervals during application.
- Hold can 10 to 12 inches from the surface and apply a medium coat to ensure maximum adhesion, overlapping surrounding paint by at least 1-1/4″
- Single coats of Rubberized Rust Encapsulator will flash dry in 30-60 minutes and full cure in 24 hours, depending on conditions. Apply secondary coats at least in one hour intervals, allowing as much dry time as possible.
- A topcoat is not recommended, as the surface will remain flexible. If a topcoat is desired test on a scrap piece allowing full cure before topcoating.
- Do not apply to hot surfaces such as exhaust, engine or transmissions.
- To clean nozzle and prevent clogging after each use, turn can upside down and spray a few short blasts to clear the valve.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS:
Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Keep
away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources.
No smoking. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not
pierce or burn, even after use. Do not breathe spray. Wash hands thoroughly
after handling. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear
protective gloves and eye protection. Protect from sunlight. Store in a well-
ventilated place. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C/1 20°F. Dispose
of contents and container in accordance with applicable regulations.
FIRST AID: If exposed, concerned or feel unwell: Call a physician. IF
SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER. Do NOT induce vomiting. IF ON
SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it
before reuse. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical attention. IF
INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. IF IN
EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses,
if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get
medical attention.
