INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

The product is for indoor use only
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND DANGER WARNINGS

  • Please read the manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
  • All safety instructions and warnings must be adhered to. They are part of the manual and must be kept with it.
  • The device may not be exposed to extreme temperatures (< +5°C / > +35°C), strong vibrations or heavy mechanical strain during operation.
  • The device must only be connected to a power supply of the type described.
  • Do not remove the cover or back, as there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Please place the device on a level, stable platform. Never place the device on an unstable or movable surface.
    The device might fall and injure persons or get damaged.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
Prior to first use, connect the supplied charging cable to the 5V input (2) and to a suitable USB mains adaptor delivering a charging current of 5V 2A. The battery status light (3) will light up in red during charging and goes off when the battery is fully charged. The speaker works normally during charge. The charging status of the battery is indicated by the charging symbol on the display.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES

  1. PRIOR to using the unit for the first time, please charge fully the battery without any interruption.
  2. Charge the battery regularly after each use. Don’t wait until it is discharged!
  3. DON’T allow the battery to discharge completely, otherwise it will lose 20% of its capacity or even be totally damaged! If the voltage becomes too low, the internal circuits are not powered anymore, and it will become impossible to recharge the battery!
  4. If you don’t use the unit for a longer period, it is recommended to charge it at 40% of its capacity and check/ charge it once per month.
    The lifetime of the battery depends on the observance of these recommendations.

WE CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGED BATTERIES FURTHER TO THE NON- OBSERVANCE OF THESE BASIC RULES.

REAR PANEL CONNECTORS

  1. Microphone input: Connect the supplied microphone to this input
  2. AUX input: Connect an external line device to this input
  3. TF: Insert a micro SD card to play the music on your card\
  4. USB: Insert a USB stick to play the music on your stick
  5. LED: battery charge indicator
  6. 5Vdc 2A USB-C connector: Connect the supplied charger lead to this input to charge the built-in battery
  7. POWER: ON/Off switch

TOP PANEL CONTROLS

  1. Previous song/ Previous FM channel

  2. Press to increase the volume

  3. Play/Pause/LED button: Short press to play/pause the song. Long press to cycle through the 7 LED light effect programs. The 8th time keep the button pressed to switch the light effect off. In FM mode, press to search automatically for radio channels.

  4. Next song/next FM channel

  5. Short press to record the microphone sound on your microSD card or USB stick. Short press to play your recorded file.

  6. MENU/MIC.PRI: This button controls following functions in conjunction with the VOLUME buttons (2 & 7) :
    Treble -> Bass -> Mic Echo -> Mic Volume Short press once. “t” is displayed. Set the treble via the Volume + & – buttons
    Short press a second time. “b” is displayed. Set the basses via the Volume + & – buttons
    Short press a third time. “E” is displayed. Set the microphone echo via the Volume + & – buttons
    Short press a fourth time. “v” is displayed. Set the microphone volume via the Volume + & – buttons
    MIC PRIORITY: Long press the button. “O-ON” is displayed and the mic priority function is active. Long press again. “O-OF” is displayed. The Mic priority function is disabled.

  7. Press to decrease volume

  8. MODE: Short press to select an input source among USB/TF/AUX/BT/FM Long press in BT mode to link the speaker via Bluetooth to another CUBE180

REMOTE CONTROL

  1. ON/OFF button

  2. MODE: Short press to select an input source. Long press to pair the speaker with another CUBE180 in Bluetooth mode

  3. EQ: Press to select a music style among Rock-Pop-Jazz-Classic-Flat

  4. Increase volume

  5. Next song/ next FM channel

  6. Play/pause

  7. Decrease volume

  8. Repeat one/all songs

  9. Number buttons for direct input of a file number. Press the number of the file to access it directly. For file numbers above 9, press the first digit + the second digit. Ex.
    For file number 15, press 1 + 5. For file number 38, press 3+8

  10. SCAN: In FM mode, press to automatically search for FM channels

  11. Previous song/previous FM channel

  12. MUTE: stops the sound

USE OF THE REMOTE CONTROL

Please operate the remote control within a distance of 6m and 30° between the remote and the appliance. Aim
the remote at the sensor. Remove all obstacles between the remote and the sensor.
The remote control might not work properly if the sensor is exposed to strong sunshine.
If the remote control doesn’t work properly, please check the batteries.
INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
Remove the battery cover from the back of the remote control as shown and insert 2x
AAA size batteries ensuring correct polarity

BATTERY WARNING

This symbol indicates that used batteries should not be disposed of with household waste but deposited in separate collection points for recycling.

ATTENTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly placed. Only replace by the same or equivalent type. Keep new and old batteries out of the reach of children.
If the battery compartment doesn’t close properly, stop using the product and keep it out of the reach of children.

WARNING: The supplied remote control contains a battery. In case of ingestion, it might cause serious internal burns within only 2 hours that might lead to death.
If you are in doubt whether the batteries have been swallowed or introduced into any other part of the body, contact immediately a doctor.

BLUETOOTH MODE
Short press the MODE button until Blue is displayed. Activate the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth enabled device and select CUBE180. Press the PREVIOUS/NEXT button on the top panel to select a song.

TWS WIRELESS BLUETOOTH CONNECTION
First pair your smartphone with a CUBE180 speaker (cf. BLUETOOTH MODE). Turn on the second CUBE180 and
keep the PLAY/PAUSE&TWS button pressed on the second CUBE180. The second CUBE180 will now play the same music as the first one.

AUX IN JACK
Connect an audio cable to the AUX IN jack of the speaker and to the audio output socket on the external audio device such as MP3 player, discman, etc. Press the MODE button and select AUX.
