This device needs to be upgraded to RouterOS v7.7 or the latest version to ensure compliance with local authority regulations!

This Device accepts input from a 24V DC power adapter, which is provided in the original packaging of this device.

First steps:

  • Remove the bottom cover;
  • Insert the SIM card into the slot;
  • Connect the Ethernet cable to the port;
  • Connect the Ethernet cable to the PoE injector;
  • Connect included power adapter to the PoE;
  • Connect to the wireless network;
  • Open the web browser and connect to the device, the IP: 168.88.1, user name: admin , no password (or, for some models, check user and wireless passwords on the sticker) ;
  • Use the check for updates option and update the device to the latest software version, must have a valid SIM card inserted;
  • Connect again and in the QuickSet menu set your Country, to apply country regulation settings;
  • Secure your device and set a strong password;
  • To manually update the device if no Internet connection is available;
  • Download the latest RouterOS software from https://mikrotik.com/download ;
  • Choose MIPSBE packages, and save them to your PC;
  • Connect again and in the Files menu upload downloaded packages;
  • Restart the device;
  • The wAP R, LtAP mini devices comes without a modem, install it before inserting a SIM card;
  • The following RouterOS “npk” packages are required for the core functionality of the product LtAP: gps, system.
