FOR YOUR SAFETY

Here are some basic guidelines for working with electricity:

• Before working on a circuit, go to the main service panel and remove the fuse or trip the breaker that controls that circuit. Tape a sign to the panel warning others to leave the circuit alone while you work.
• Before touching any wire, use a voltage tester to make sure it’s not live.
• Whenever you check for voltage in a receptacle, check both outlets – each may be controlled by a separate wiring circuit.
• When replacing fuses, turn off the main power first.
• Make sure your hands and feet are dry, and place one hand behind your back to prevent electricity from making a complete circuit through your chest.
• Touch a plug fuse only by its insulated rim. Remove cartridge fuses with a fuse puller.
• Use tools with insulated handles and ladders made of wood or fiberglass.
• Keep dry-chemical fire extinguishers in the kitchen, basement, and workshop.
• Never disable grounding devices. Make sure that all appliances requiring grounding are properly grounded, and that the electrical system itself is properly grounded.
• Meet or exceed all electrical code requirements that cover the work you are doing.
• Always work with enough light to see what you are doing; it’s easy to make mistakes when you’re working in dim light.
• When in doubt about the safety of any electrical repair or test, call in a professional.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

• FIG. 1. Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position.
• Depending on which type of fuse box you have in your home:
• FIG. 2. Place either the main (Master) switch in the “OFF” position, cutting off power to your entire home OR turn off the individual switch that provides power to where the fixture will be installed OR
• FIG. 3. Place either the main (Master) switch in the “OFF” position, cutting off power to the entire home, OR unscrew the fuse that provides power to where the fixture will be installed.

TOOLS REQUIRED

• Cleaning: Before cleaning your lamp, turn off the switch or power source. Wipe the lamp with a soft, damp cloth.
• 3-LIGHT VANITY FIXTURE requires 3 x S-type bulbs medium base, 60 watts maximum each (sold separately)

HARDWARE INCLUDED

NOTE: Hardware not shown to actual size.

TOWEL RING

1. STEP 1: Determine Placement. Towel rings are typically mounted next to or near a sink around 50 inches to 52 inches off the ground.
2. STEP 2: Mark Drill Holes.
3. STEP 3: Pre-Drill Wall Anchor Holes and Install Drywall Wall Anchors.
4. STEP 4: Attach Mounting Bracket.
5. STEP 5: Attach and Secure the Towel Ring to the Mounting Bracket.

TOILET PAPER HOLDER

1. STEP 1: Measure the install distance. We recommend you install your toilet paper holder 26 inches from the ground, on a wall 8 inches to 12 inches from your toilet bowl.
   • (Use 8 inches to 9 inches for shorter users such as children and 10 inches to 12 inches for average to tall users).
2. STEP 2: Mark Drill Holes.
3. STEP 3: Pre-Drill Wall Anchor Holes and Install Drywall Wall Anchors.
4. STEP 4: Attach Mounting Bracket.
5. STEP 5: Attach and Secure the Toilet Paper Holder to the Mounting Bracket.

INSTALL MOUNTING PLATE

• Attach the mounting plate to the outlet box with the outlet box screws.

CONNECTING THE WIRES

• The cord length between the wire connectors and the canopy should be at least 6″ (152.4mm). If needed, strip the plastic coating from the white and black wire approximately 1″ (2.5 cm) to expose the metal wire inside. Wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the ground screw on the mounting plate. Use a wire connector to connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the outlet box.
• Use a wire connector to connect the white wire from the fixture to the white wire (neutral wire) from the outlet box.
• Use a wire connector to connect the black wire from the fixture to the black wire (live wire) from the outlet box.
• Wrap the three wire connections with electrical tape for a more secure connection. Position the wires back inside the outlet box.

ATTACHING THE CANOPY

• Position the canopy over the outlet box and secure it with decorative nuts.
• Requires 3 S type E26 bulbs medium base, 60 watts maximum each (sold separately)
• WARNING: consult a qualified licensed electrician who will ensure the fixture is installed under local installation codes.

ROBE HOOK

• STEP 1: Determine Placement.
• STEP 2: Mark Drywall Wall Anchor Holes.
• STEP 3: Drill Starter Holes and Install Drywall Wall Anchors.
• STEP 4: Align & Install Mounting Bracket.
• STEP   5: Attach & Secure Robe Hook to the Mounting Bracket.

TOWEL BAR INSTALLATION

• STEP 1: Decide on the Hanging Area and on the right towel bar height that works for your household.
• STEP 2: Measure and Mark Area. Measure the towel bar from end to end as outlined in the instruction manual. Next, measure the height to make sure that it’s a comfortable level for everyone in the house mark the desired location of the mounting brackets, and mark the area on the wall using a pencil.
• STEP 3: Drill Mounting Holes. Hold the mounting bracket against the wall in line with your marks. Hold a level against the wall to ensure your marks are even. Using your drill, pre-drill holes where your marks were made so you can secure your mounting brackets.
• STEP 4: Securing Mounting Brackets: If you are using a wall anchor, drive the wall anchor in with a hammer. Then attach the mounting brackets using screws. If you are not using a wall anchor, attach the mounting brackets and use your drill or screwdriver to drive screws into pre-made holes.
• STEP 5: Using the set screw and wrench provided with your towel bar, attach one of the bar holders to the mounting bracket. Slide the bar into place and attach the next bar holder. Put a little pressure on the towel bar to make sure it is secure: Towels may now be hung.
