1. This wireless CarPlay adapter is designed to work exclusively with iPhones and is incompatible with other smartphones or tablets.

2. This wireless CarPlay adapter is designed exclusively for cars that already have their own wired CarPlay function and do nat support cars without CarPlay functionaliy.

3. 0nly iPhone 6 and later models are compatble with this wireless CarPlay adapter Please note that your iPhone ‘operating system must be 10S 10 or igherto use this adapler.

4. your car has been customized with some wireless features (such as Wi-Fi dash camcar 360 surround monitoring,etc.)the carscreen may appear black after the ‘connection i completed This is not a defective issue of the product In such cases,we recommend contacting our customer service team promptly to help youfind a salution

5. To avoid signal conflict before connecing the wireless CarPlay adapter,please make sure that the current phone’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi do not have any connection established: when using the adapter please ensure to connect orly the
   Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals of the adapter “SmartBox-xocx” (“00Xs the product serial number and the serial number is subject to the actual product received).

6. The adapter can only be connected to one device at a timef there are multiple iPhones present please ensure that only the user’s iPhone is connected to the Bluetocth ‘and Wi-Fi signal of the adapter “SmartBoxxxx”.

Find Your CarPlay and Use It

Method 1: Connect your iPhone to the car’s primary USB portf the car is equipped with Apple CarPlay.a prompt will appear on your phone togrant permission
Allow Contacts and Favorites Sync?
Your car may request your contacts, phone favorites,and.recent phone calls over Bluetooth.Do you wish fo allow this?CarPlay will work without syncing.

Setup_Step

1. Start the car and wait for the infotainment system to fuly boot up.Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth and WiFi are enabled and not comected o any extermal networks or devices.
2. Plug the wireless CarPlay adapter into the USB or USBC port designated for Apple CarPlay in your vehicke.If your car has multipe ports.ensure you connect the adapter to the port assigned for wired CarPlay—ypicaly identiied by a white wire frame around the port or a specic icon next to it (refer to your cars manual for the diagram indicating data transfer ports)
3. After comedtng to the corect porhe adspler wil conduct a quick ntemal testwhich tpically takes between 5 1o 10 seconds.Once the test concludes,the indicator fgnt Wil luminate Your veide’s dispiay wil then switch to the interface shown. belowndicatng it s ready to_pair.
4. Go to the phone’s Bluetooth setting and select “Smart- Boxxoxto pair f the intial paifing attempt is unsucce- ssful please try a few more times.
5. After Bluetooth pairing your phone’s Wi-Fi will automa-  tically connect to the wireless CarPlay adapters WFi signal “SmartBox-xox” During this period do not manally ‘connectto this or any other Wi-Fi signals.
6. 0nce the car display transitions to the CarPlay control intefface this indicates that the connection has been successfully established
7. After the intial setupthe wireless CarPlay adapter wil automatically reconnect to the previously paired device on subsequent uses (ensure your phone’s WiFi and Biuetooth are enabled before use).In same vehidesyou may need to manualy tap the CarPlay icon on the car’s display to activate the CarPlay system

1. After your phone pairs with the adapter.your phone’s Bluetooth name will appear here.

2. You can selectthe iPhone device you want to connect tofrom this lst The adapter wil auto-connect to the iPhone you choseeiiminating the need for manual intervention (please allow 10-20° seconds for the auto-connection).
   If no selection is made within 10 seconds the adapter will ‘connect tothe current default option.

3. Make surethe Phone you want to use is inside the car, and both its Bluetooth and Wi-Fiare enabled and currently not in use.

Pay Attention

Notice: When starting to use wireless CarPlay,Bluetooth plays the rdle of pairing the phone and the vehicle After the pairing is successfulthe phone’s Wi-Fi will be occu- pied by the wireless CarPlay program,while disconnecting the Bluetooth connection.Ifyou switch the WiFi connection to other devices or tum off the Wi-Fi of the phone,the wireless CarPlay willdisconnect

1. When using the Wireless CarPlay feature.the phone’s WiFi will be connected to “SmartBox-xocc”If there is confict with other WHFi connections you may need to manually disconnect the other Wi-Fi to maintain wireless CarPlay use.
2. 0nce paired e phone’s Bluetooth will be released from the connection with the wireless CarPlay adapter At this time,fthe phone connects to ofher devices via Bluetocth (such as your car’s butin Bluetocth) t may cause CarPlay fmic input or sound playing to be unavaiable You may need tomanually disconnect your phone from the ofher Bluetooth or switch offthe Bluetooth directly o fix .
3. The auto-reconnect feature of the wireless CarPlay ‘adapter requires the phone to keep Wi-Fi and Biuetooth avallable In_addition,please set the wireless CarPlay ‘adapter’s WHFi network to “Auto Join’

Update Steps

1. Power up the wireless CarPlay adapter.
2. Connect to the wireless CarPlay adapter’s Wi-Fi network with the password “12345678”.
3. Open Safari and enter “192.168.18.8”,then tap “Upgrade”.
4. After the upgrade,please restart your phone once before using the wireless CarPlay adapter.

*The adapters Wi-Fi itself does not have the Internet function. You need to turn on the cellular network of your phone to enter the upgrade website.
If the update fails,please attempt the following steps:
A.Turn off your phone’s Bluetooth.
B.Access your phone’s WLAN settings and forget the Wi-Fi signal of “SmartBox- xxxx”.

FAQs & Troubleshooting

1.What is the password to connect to Wi-Fi?

Possible Causes: Normally,what we need to manually conned is Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi.After the Bluetooth conne- ctionis successful,the Wi-Fi will be automatically connec- ted,and no manual password is required. Solution: When pairing Bluetooth.make sure Wi-Fi is on and not occupied.

2.The indicator light of the wireless CarPlay adapter is still on after the car is tumed off.

Possible Causes: Some cars will not immediately cut off all power when they are turned off,so the adapter light won't go off immediately either If the car will always keep some power even when it's off,we can unplug the adapter when we get out of the car,so that we don't have to worry about the car battery. Solution: No operation is needed.Or unplug the adapter when the car is not in use.

Possible Causes: 1)The smartphone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules are malfunctioning. 2)The wireless CarPlay adapter is defective. Solution: ff convenient, you can test it with another iPhone. If only a specific iPhone cannot find the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi of the wireless CarPlay adapter,please try to reset the network and Bluetooth settings of this Phone and then restart the phone once (this will cause you to re-enter your password when using a network you have previously connected to). If the same problem happens on other iPhones,the unit may be defective.In this case,please let us know and we will refund you or send you a replacement.

Possible Causes:Dropped connections are usually caused by Wi-F interference. Solution: 1)The wireless CarPlay adapter relies on a Wi-Fi connection to your phone to work Dropped connections are usually caused by Wi-Fi interference.Do you have other Wi-Fi devices in your car,such as a car camera with a Wi-Fi function? If so, you may need to ignore other Wi-Fi networks when using the wireless CarPlay adapter. 2)You can also improve this problem by resetting your mobile WLAN network. Also, updating the firmware of your wireless CarPlay adapter is worth trying. Reset network settings: (This will cause you to reenter your password when using a network you have previously connected to.) Go to Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone> Reset>Reset Network Settings.

6.Can the wireless CarPlay adapter be paired with multiple phones?

Solution: The wireless CarPlay adapter can be paired with multiple iPhones,but only one device can be connected at a time. If you would like to pair it with a new iPhone,please disc- onnect the current iPhone being used.
