Simplified diagram of connecting the thermostat with the heating device

  1. External temperature sensor
  2. Control
  3. Heating device e.g. a gas furnace;
  4. Electric heating device

In most cases, the NO contact (COM and NO) is used, in this case, if the device is to be turned on, these two outputs are short-circuited (the display shows the turn-on icon (wave- lets). Some heating devices (e.g. Junkers) need to turn on the heating. so that these contacts are open and then the NC output should be used (also visible wavelets on the screen) Due to the fact that NO and NC are the same output, then in the advanced menu of the controller you should set how it should work (by default it is set to NO ( short circuit with COM when turned on).
