Miele PRI 210 EL Plan Commercial Ironer
Product Specifications
- Model: PRI 210 EL Elektrobeheizt
- Installation Plan: Commercial ironer
- Manufacturer Part Number: 11 950 800
Product Usage Instructions
-
Installation and Setup
Transport the ironer to the installation site using a pallet truck. Remove the packaging just before first-time use. -
Levelling
Ensure the ironer is levelled horizontally using the screw feet to guarantee optimal functionality and energy efficiency. -
Floor Anchoring
Use suitable anchoring materials available as optional accessories or utilize tensioning strips from the transport pallet to anchor the ironer securely to the floor. -
Electrical Connection
If disconnecting from the electricity supply, ensure the disconnector is lockable or monitored at all times. Install a type A residual current device if required by local regulations. -
Vent Ducting
For models with exhaust fans, follow the ducting lengths and types of elbow specified in the manual. Deduct ducting lengths based on the number of bends.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
-
Q: Can I use the ironer without anchoring it to the floor?
A: It is recommended to anchor the ironer to the floor for safety and stability reasons. Suitable anchoring materials are available as optional accessories. -
Q: How should I align the ironer during setup?
A: Use the screw feet and a spirit level to align the roller and side columns. Secure the screw feet after levelling to prevent loosening. -
Q: What should I do if I need to disconnect the ironer from the electricity supply?
A: Ensure the disconnector is lockable or monitored continuously. Consider installing a type A residual current device if required by local regulations.
Installation and planning notes
Installation requirements
The ironer may only be commissioned by Miele Professional Ser-vice or by a
Miele specialist dealer.
The ironer must be installed in accordance with applicable regulations and
standards. Local energy supplier regulations must also be observed.
Operating conditions
- In general, the operating conditions of DIN 60204 and EN 60204-1 apply.
- Ambient temperature: +5 °C to +40 °C
- Humidity: 10 % to 85 %
- At +21 °C ambient temperature, the maximum permissible relative humidity is 70 %.
- The ironer must not be operated in the same room as dry-cleaning equipment using perchloroethylene or solvents containing CFCs.
Installation
- The ironer should be transported to the installation site using a suit-able pallet truck. Do not remove the packaging until right before the appliance is used for the first time.
- The lateral mounting flaps must be fitted before transporting the ironer or lifting it off the wooden frame.
- The suspension points for lifting hooks/straps are located under the side columns between the screw-on feet.
- During installation, ensure that the clearance next to and behind the machine columns is at least 600 mm so that the cover panels remain accessible.
- The clearance in front of the ironer must amount to at least 1.5 m to prevent foreign materials (furniture, walls) from getting hot. There should be a clearance of at least 1 m above the machine.
- During transportation of the ironer, ensure its stability. The ironer must not be transported without the wooden frame.
- If the ironer needs to be transported again (e.g. if you are moving location), it must be lifted onto the wooden frame and secured on it.
Levelling
To ensure the ironer functions correctly and energy efficiently, it must be
levelled horizontally with the screw feet.
- Dismantle the mounting flaps on the left and right sides.
- Align the roller and the side columns using the screw feet and a spirit level. The screw feet under the side columns can be un-screwed to a maximum of 60 mm.
- After levelling the machine secure the screw feet so they cannot come loose.
Floor anchoring
Suitable anchoring materials for the ironer are available as optional
accessories from the Miele Professional Service Department. Alternatively, the
tensioning strips that secured the ironer to the transport pallet for delivery
may be used to anchor the machine to the floor. Tensioning strip from
the transport pallet
Coin operated ironers must be secured by the side columns to pre-vent the risk
of the machine tipping.
Electrical connection
- The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician who must ensure that all electrical work is completed in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- The electrical connection and the wiring diagram are located behind the mounting flap of the right side column.
- Tip: We recommend connecting the ironer to the power supply via a plug and socket so that it is easier to conduct electrical safety checks (e.g. during maintenance or repair work).
- If the machine is hard wired, an all-pole means of deactivation must be installed on site. Switches with a minimum contact gap greater than 3 mm are suitable disconnectors. These include circuit breakers, fuses and contactors (VDE 0660).
- The plug connector or isolator switch should be easily accessible at all times.
- If the ironer is disconnected from the electricity supply, the disconnector must be lockable or the point of disconnection must be monitored at all times.
- If local regulations require the installation of a residual current device (RCD), a type A residual current device can be used.
Vent ducting (only for models with exhaust fan)
- Risk of fire if vent ducting is not fitted correctly.
- The vent ducting must not be channelled into a chimney or flue which is already in use for any type of burning installation (gas, coal or oil). The vent ducting for the ironer must be installed separately from the vent ducting for any tumble dryers.
- The warm and moist exhaust air from the ironer must be conducted outdoors or to a suitable venting duct via the shortest possible path.
- Suitable measures must be taken to prevent condensate from flowing back into the ironer. If the fan is not powerful enough to remove the moist air, a suitably powerful additional fan must be fitted in the shaft or the roof outlet on site. There must be sufficient air intake to the in-stallation site to match the air outlet volume.
- The connector for the vent ducting (optional for PRI 210) is located on the rear of the left side column and has a diameter of 70 mm (HT DN 70).
- The exhaust ducting must have an internal diameter of 70 mm (HT DN 70).
- If the vent ducting is directed upwards, a condensate drain hole with a diameter of approx. 3–5 mm must be provided at the lowest point.
- Adequate ventilation of the installation room must be ensured.
- The on-site vent ducting and the exit point to the outdoors must be checked on a regular basis for a build-up of lint. Clean them whenever necessary.
- The end of the ducting leading outdoors must be protected against the elements (e.g. with a downward-facing 90° elbow).
