Preparation
- Separate the back plate from the wall sconce.
- Place the back plate against the wall at the desired hanging location and mark the mounting location with a pencil.
- Note: If mounting on drywall, use all four (4) wall screws.
Instructions
- Drill holes into the wall aligned with the previous pencil marks from Step 1.
- Secure the back plate to the wall with a flat-head screw. The screw must rest flush aligned with the surface of the back plate. Ensure that the power breaker is disconnected prior to completing this step.
- Fasten the Labra Sconce to the plate previously mounted on the wall by aligning the two (2) protruding pieces to the coinciding openings on the sconce’s integrated LED back plate. Once properly aligned, slide the sconce over to latch and have it drop down to secure it into place.
- Reverse mount option: The Labra Sconce can mount to the wall plate with either end at the top, as pictured, based on preference. The latching process is the same for both options.
- Turn the breaker back on and operate the light.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Ensure the supply voltage is the same as the rated luminary voltage
- Make sure the power supply is OFF before and during Installation
- Low voltage connection MUST be done offline; switch off the circuit breaker before doing any connections (connecting the low voltage LED luminaire live may result in damaging the LED)
- Polarity is critical – an inversion will result in a luminaire not firing up
- Do not detach the ground cable from the terminal end when installing pendants

Matthew McCormick Studio (MMS) strongly recommends that installation be done
by a certified electrician in accordance to relevant building codes within
your jurisdiction. Failure to reference this instruction manual and/or meet
proper certification/installation criteria may damage the fixture, in addition
to voiding both the warranty and its certifications.

TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION (BUT NOT INCLUDED IN KIT):
- Drill
- Pencil
- Screws (for wall-mounting back plate, specific to wall type)
PREPARATION
- Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all componentry and tools are in hand. Compare the parts received with delivery checklist above; if any component is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product until you’ve contacted MMS.
- Do not discard any contents until after assembly is complete to avoid accidentally discarding small parts or hardware.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- We strongly recommend that a certified electrician installs your fixture.
- Keep flammable material away from the bulb.
INSTRUCTIONS

Separate the back plate from the wall sconce.

Place the back plate against the wall at the desired hanging location and mark the mounting location with a pencil.
NOTE: If mounting on drywall, we recommend using all four (4) wall screws. -
- Drill holes into the wall aligned with the previous pencil marks from Step 1.

Secure the back plate to the wall with a flat-heat screw. The screw must rest flush aligned with the surface of the back plate.

Ensure that the power breaker is disconnected prior to completing Step 3

Do not reverse the positive and negative connections; Doing so may comrpomise your safety.
Connect the Neutral (N) white wire from the junction box to the white wire from the sconce using wago. Connect the Line Voltage (L) black wire from the junction box to the black wire from the sconce using wago. The ground (green) wire from the junction box to the green wire from the sconce using wago. Always make sure that no wires stands are left outside the wagos.
NOTE: Outside of North America, the Neutral and Line Voltage wire colours may be different.
Be careful to not pull the wires. This may cause the wagos to disconnect. -
- Fasten the Labra Sconce to the plate previously mounted on the wall by aligning the two (2) protruding pieces (see diagram above) to the coinciding openings on the sconce’s integrated LED back plate. Once the two plates have been properly aligned to adjoin, slide the sconce over to latch and have it drop down to secure it into place.

It is now safe to turn the breaker back on and operate the light.
