TAGA Harmony TWA-10B allows to stream digital music content from smartphones, tablets, music libraries on computers or network storage, as well as from the best online streaming services and internet radio.
The TWA-10B can be quickly and easily connected to your existing audio system and transform it to a thrilling digital smart system!

Lighting – For added protection for this product during a lighting storm or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or system cables. This will prevent damage to the product due to lighting and power-line surges.

  13. Overloading – Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.

Object and Liquid Entry – Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock.     It is not recommended to remove the cage or cover unless it is required to change the vacuum tubes.
    When the cage or cover is removed – do not touch the vacuum tubes – they may be hot and burn the skin!

  22. Operating Environment – Operating environment temperature and humidity of the unit: +5°C to +35°C (+41°F to +95°F); less than 85% RH (cooling slots not blocked).

Hooking Up the Network Player

  1. Make sure the Network Player is turned off (the power adapter is disconnected from the electrical outlet).

  2. Make sure that external equipment which will be connected to the Network Player is turned off.

  3. Screw in the antenna into the Wireless antenna socket.
    Note! Make sure the antenna is securely and firmly installed – otherwise the wi-fi or Bluetooth® connection may not be established or may be unstable.

  4. If you want to connect to the local area network by wire: using an RJ45 Ethernet cable connect the Network Player to your local network device (router, access point etc.).
    Check “Connection Options” for more details.

    The sockets shown for external equipment and connection options may differ depending on the device.

Input Indicator Status

Connection Options

The Network Player device name is “TWA-10B ####”, where #### is 4 last hex digits of its unique MAC address.

BEFORE BEGINNING

  1. After turned on for the first time or after restoring factory setting, the Network Player will start in the Bluetooth® input.
  2. Make sure that your local network device (router, access point etc.) is connected to the Internet.
  3. Download the Control Application for mobile devices – check “Control Application” for more details.
  4. Make sure to activate the following options in your audio source device setup (mobile devices and computers):

Note! The Network Player operates only in 2.4 GHz wireless networks.

  1. Make sure that the audio source device and the Network Player, and for mobile devices the Control Application as well, are in the same network.
  2. Turn the Network Player on by pressing the Standby Button.

Bluetooth® CONNECTION

  1. If the Network Player is not in the Bluetooth® input – select it in the Control Application or by short pressing the Input (Source) Selection Button on the front panel – the Input Indicator will be flashing in blue.
    To start pairing short press twice the Reset Button.

  2. Select Bluetooth® in the settings of your audio source device and start scanning for available Bluetooth® devices.TAGA-HARMONY-TWA-10B-Network-Player-FIG- \(6\)

  3. After a short time “TWA-10B ####” will appear on the screen.

  4. Select “Pair” on your audio source device to connect with the Network Player. After the connection is successful the Input Indicator will be illuminated continuously in blue and it will remain illuminated as long as the current connection is active.

  5. You can start streaming music.

Note!

  • The audio source device must be within a range of approximately 5 meters from the Network Player.

  • Please refer to your audio source device user instruction for details on operating the Bluetooth®. Operation and names of specific functions may vary on different devices.

  • Make sure the Wireless antenna is securely and firmly installed, and that there are no objects placed between the audio source device and the Network Player obscuring the Bluetooth® signal which may result in unstable or no connection.

  • For some audio source devices it may take a shorter or a longer period of time to reconnect to the Network Player or it may even require to repeat the pairing procedure each time the Bluetooth® connection is lost.
    For most audio source devices the connection will be automatically retrieved.

  • When you want to pair another Bluetooth® audio source device than the currently active, you have to start pairing (short press twice the Reset Button) and restart the Bluetooth® connection procedure for the new audio source device.

  • If your audio source device is not able to find the “TWA-10B ####” Bluetooth® device or connect to it then start again pairing by short press twice the Reset Button.

WIRELESS (wi-fi) CONNECTION (on mobile devices)

Wi-fi connection configuration

  1. If the Network Player is not in the Network input – select it by short pressing the Input (Source) Selection Button on the front panel – the Input Indicator will be flashing in white.
    To start the configuration (setup) short press once the Reset Button.

  2. Open the Control Application – the system will ask for your permission to use multimedia library and files, to find and connect to devices on your local network, to use your location (GPS), to use Bluetooth® – accept to continue.
    Note! The GPS use permission is required for the setup – once the setup is finished, you can disable it in the settings of your mobile device.

  3. Application will start searching for compatible devices and when found will list out all devices available for setup – select the Network Player you want to connect to.

  4. The Control Application will list out all networks available for connection – select the one you want to connect to.

  5. Enter the password to the selected network.

  6. Once the connection is set, the Control Application will automatically check for new updates.

  7. You can change the name for the device by selecting from a list or entering your own.

  8. The name of the device will be displayed in a list of added devices in the Control Application.

  9. You can start streaming music.

If the Control Application cannot find a compatible device automatically

  1. Tap on Add Device.

  2. The device setup screen will be displayed with information about the status of the Input Indicator – make sure it is flashing in white (if it is not then start configuring your Wireless (wi-fi) connection one more time – check “Operation” for more details), tap on indicator is blinking.
    Note! Occasionally, it may be required to configure your Wireless (wi-fi) connection again and repeat the search.

  3. The Control Application will list out all devices available for setup – select the Network Player you want to configure and tap on Setup this device.

  4. Continue with the steps provided in “Wi-fi connection configuration” starting from point 4.

Note!

  • Operation and user interface may vary depending on the mobile device model, its operating system and application version.

  • Your mobile device may ask for granting permission for the Control Application to access to different mobile device resources.
    Make sure to select the correct choices to avoid problems with the configuration.

  • If you change the network password for the local network device (router etc.) then you must configure the connection one more time (short press once the Reset Button).

  • Make sure the Wireless Antenna is securely and firmly installed, and that there are no objects placed between your local network device and the Network Player obscuring the wireless signal which may result in unstable or no connection.

  • Make sure that the Internet transfer speed is sufficient – too slow transfer may cause interruptions in playback of some content.

LAN WIRED CONNECTION (on mobile devices)

  1. Connect the Network Player with the RJ45 Ethernet cable to your local network device.

  2. Open the Control Application – the system will ask for your permission to use multimedia library and files, to find and connect to devices on your local network, to use your location (GPS), to use Bluetooth® – accept to continue.
    Note! The GPS use permission is required for the setup – once the setup is finished, you can disable it in the settings of your mobile device.

  3. Once the connection is set, the Control Application will automatically check for new updates.

  • Make sure that the Internet transfer speed is sufficient – too slow transfer may cause interruptions in playback of some content.

Operation

Standby Mode
When you connect the Network Player to the electrical outlet for the first time, it will start in the Standby mode.

  • Turn ON – press once the Standby Button
  • Turn OFF – long press the Standby Button

Note! The Network Player will start in the last selected input before it was turned off (Bluetooth® input is default – a new unit or after restoring factory settings).

Input (Source) Selection
When the Network Player is turned on.
Short press the Input (Source) Selection Button to select one of the inputs (sources): Network or Bluetooth®.
The selected input (source) is indicated by a color on the Input Indicator:
White – Network, Blue – Bluetooth®.
Note! You can also change the inputs in the Control Application – check “Control Application” for more details.

Volume Regulation
You can adjust the level of sound in the Control Application, directly on your audio source device or on the connected external audio equipment.

Distortion and sound quality worsening may occur when the volume level is too high.
It may damage your audio equipment and void the warranty.
When you hear distortion – lower the volume level.

Reset
When the Network Player is turned on.

  1. Wireless (wi-fi) connection configuration (setup) – short press once the Reset But- ton to configure the connection.
  2. Pairing with Bluetooth® – short press twice the Reset Button to start pairing.
  3. Reset of both connections (wi-fi and Bluetooth®) – long press the Reset Button to rest both connections.
    Note! After reset the connections, you will have to configure all connections again -check “Connection Options” for more details.
    Note! Only the connection settings are reset, other data such as the device name (if changed), login data to streaming and Internet radio services are not reset – to do this, use the Restore factory settings option in the Control Application.

Control Application

Add / Remove Device to Multiroom
You can group different devices into multiple rooms or zones. For instance, your system consists of 4 streaming devices. You can group devices 1,2 and 3 to play the same music simultaneously, or group devices 1 and 2 as the zone A and devices 3 and 4 as the zone B, and play different music in these zones.

Add / Remove a Device to Multiroom

To add:

  • Tap on the icon of the device you want to be the Master device.
  • A list of available devices will pop out and you can select the device you want to add as the Slave device.
  • Tap on Done to confirm.

The gray tick icon represents the Master device and the green tick icon represents the Slave device.

To remove:

  • Tap on the icon again to bring up the device list, and unselect a Slave device you want to remove.
  • Tap on Done to confirm.

Left and Right Channel
You can configure playback according to below options:

  • LR – Stereo
  • L – Only the Left channel of the audio source device is output to both speakers R – Only the Right channel of the audio source device is output to both speakers

Distortion and sound quality worsening may occur when the volume level is too high.
It may damage your audio equipment and void the warranty.
When you hear distortion – lower the volume level.

Playback of music stored on your mobile device. Playback of music stored on a NAS drive on your network. My Playlists and Recently Played songs.

Note!

  • Only NAS drives with the DLNA feature are supported.
  • Some content may be protected which will prevent from playing it.

Music service

  • It may be required to register an account on a service provider platform in order to use their online streaming service.
  • Some streaming services and internet radio may require paid subscription.
  • Some streaming services and internet radio may not be available in your country.
  • Internet access is required.

Spotify connect
Use your phone, tablet or computer as a remote control for Spotify.

Manage Music services
Add more or remove selected streaming and Internet radio services.

Select source on Device

Select the Network (Wi-Fi) or the Bluetooth® input (source) for playback.
To change from the Bluetooth® source to Network, you can just choose one of the streaming / internet radio services or mobile device local storage music or any music via DLNA or UPnP streaming.
Note! You can also select these sources via the Input (Source) Selection Button on the front panel – check “Operation” for more details.

Control Application version and sending feedback to the app developer.

Firmware Update
When the new firmware is released, you will be notified by an arrow icon shown following the device name in the Control Application.
Tap on the icon to install the firmware.
It’s recommended to update the firmware each time it is available.

Playback from computers

There are several methods and computer programs compatible with this product which allow to play music from local storage, media library and online services.
Make sure that the Network Player is connected to the Internet and the network connection is configured – check „Connection Options” for more details.

You can use a freeware PC music player for Windows® to play files using UPnP protocol, for instance “foobar2000”.

  1. Download “foobar2000” from https://www.foobar2000.org/ and install it.
  2. Install the UPnP component in the Preferences → Components Follow the installation instructions.
  3. After restarting the Foobar2000, choose this Network Player in the Preferences → Playback → Output → Device

Interferences with tube devices

It is a normal phenomenon that the Network Player during the wireless operation may interfere with devices equipped with vacuum tubes (for instance hybrid or tube am-plifiers), what results in noises audible in speakers and headphones (in one or both channels).
Try to eliminate such a problem by moving the Network Player away from the tube devi-ces or use the Wired (LAN) connection.
