Product Usage Instructions

Setting up the Comfort Battery Head Strap

  1. Extract the battery strap and position it so that the USB
    Type-C charging port is facing upwards. Attach the removable back bracket to the battery pack, ensuring alignment with the L/R marks on the components. Adjust the washable cushion for comfort if needed.

  2. Remove the facial interface from your headset.

  3. Carefully attach the Headset Connectors to the left and right arms of your headset, ensuring a secure connection.

  4. Secure the Removable Top Strap to your headset by threading it through the slot at the back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I charge the battery pack?

A: To charge the battery pack, use the provided USB Type-C cable to connect it to a power source with a USB port.

Q: Can I wash the washable cushion?

A: Yes, you can hand wash the washable cushion with mild soap and water. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching it to the head strap.

How to set up the Comfort Battery Head Strap

  1. Open the box, carefully check all the components, and make sure nothing is missing.KIWI-design-B005-Comfort-Battery-Head-Strap-fig-2

  2. Take out the Battery Strap and position it correctly so that the USB Type-C Charging Port is facing upward. Then, attach the Removable Back Bracket to the Battery Pack, making sure to align it with the L/R marks engraved on the components. If necessary, adjust the Washable Cushion to a comfortable position.KIWI-design-B005-Comfort-Battery-Head-Strap-fig-3

  3. Remove the facial interface from your headset.

  4. Carefully attach the Headset Connectors to the left and right arms of your headset, respectively. Make sure they are securely connected.

  5. Secure the Removable Top Strap to your headset by threading it through the slot at the back.

  6. Install your facial interface back to the headset.

  7. Connect the USB Type-C Cable to the USB charging port on your headset. Then, plug your power adapter and USB cable into the USB Type-C Charging Port located on the back of the Battery Pack.
    The Comfort Battery Head Strap does not include a power adapter and USB cable. It is recommended to use the original adapter and USB cable that came with your VR headset, or any other certified 5V 2A / 5V 3A adapterKIWI-

  8. There are 4 LED indicators that display the power connection status, battery level during charging and use, low power warning, power outage, and abnormal alerts.

  9. Secure the Cable Clip to the left strap and organize the USB Type-C Cable as needed.

  10. Place the headset with the Comfort Battery Head Strap on your head, adjusting it to a comfortable position. Then, tighten the side straps by turning the Fitting Wheel. Finally, secure the Removable Top Strap.

LED Indicators Guide

  1. Once the Comfort Battery Head Strap has been powered on for two seconds, the four LED lights will illuminate sequentially. This indicates that power has been detected and the connection has been successfully established.
  2. When charging the battery pack, the battery level will be indicated by the number of flashing and lit-up LEDs.
  3. When the battery pack is supplying power to your headset, the battery level will be indicated by the number of lit-up LEDs.
  4. When charging the internal battery while in use, the battery level will be indicated by the number of flashing and lit-up LEDs.
  5. When the battery level is low, the first LED on the left-hand side will blink rapidly.
  6. When the battery pack is depleted, none of the LEDs will light up. At this point, the battery strap will need to be charged.
  7. If the Comfort Battery Head Strap is operating under abnormal conditions, all four LEDs will blink rapidly together. In this case, the entire device will shut down. To resolve this issue, you need to disconnect and reconnect it.

Caring for the Comfort Battery Head Strap – SPC

  1. The Comfort Battery Head Strap is a delicate electronic device. Avoid using or storing it in direct sunlight, sandy or dusty environments, or exposing it to extreme temperatures or liquids.
  2. Avoid using the Comfort Battery Head Strap in overly humid conditions or exposing it to rapid temperature changes. Condensation build-up in the electrical circuitry due to these conditions could cause the device to malfunction.
  3. Be careful not to drop the Comfort Battery Head Strap.
  4. Never disassemble the Comfort Battery Head Strap and its component.
  5. For your safety, always use certified power adapters when charging the Comfort Battery Head Strap.
  6. Avoid charging the Comfort Battery Head Strap near fire or in direct sunlight.
  7. It’s normal for the headset to heat up during charging. However, if the Comfort Battery Head Strap becomes excessively hot, turn it off and allow it to cool down before using it again.
  8. If the power adapter becomes excessively hot, immediately disconnect it and unplug it from the socket.
  9. Lightly moisten a soft, lint-free cloth with a bit of water and gently wipe the Comfort Battery Head Strap to remove any dirt.
  10. Always ensure that the USB Type-C Cable is connected to the correct charging port and is oriented correctly.
  11. Please ensure that the Comfort Battery Head Strap and its components are stored properly and kept out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental swallowing.

Troubleshooting

  1. If the LED indicators on your Comfort Battery Head Strap do not light up after connecting the power adapter and USB cable, please ensure that you’ve connected them correctly. We always recommend using a certified adapter or the adapter and USB cable that came with your VR headset.
  2. If the LED indicators blink rapidly and the entire Comfort Battery Head Strap shuts down, please disconnect and reconnect them again. 2.1. Disconnect the USB cable from the battery pack.
  3. Disconnect the USB Type-C Cable from your headset.
  4. The Comfort Battery Head Strap is specifically designed to charge the Quest 3 Headset. It may not be compatible with other VR headsets or electronic devices.
  5. The charging time for the Comfort Battery Head Strap will depend on the adapter used. Please note that power output can vary between different adapters. Charging may take longer with adapters that have a lower output.

Terms and Conditions of Warranty

This warranty guarantees that this product is delivered to you free of defects in materials and workmanship. You are entitled to this warranty, subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. This worldwide warranty is only applicable to the original purchaser and to products with a valid proof of purchase or serial number.

  2. The product comes with a warranty that lasts for 24 months from the date of original purchase.

  3. During the warranty period, you are entitled to free repair or replacement of parts due to defects in materials or workmanship of the product.
    However, if the damage is caused by misuse, negligence, malicious acts, accidents, excessive heat or humidity, exposure to liquids, sand or dirt, operation in direct sunlight, or excessive physical force that deforms or damages the case, it will be considered outside the scope of the warranty. In such cases, you can still have the product repaired or replaced, but we may charge a small fee or ask you to cover the shipping costs.

  4. The warranty will be automatically voided if the product is modified, tampered with, or repaired by any unauthorized third party.

  5. You are required to provide proof of purchase, which may include the original invoice or a valid serial number.

Notwithstanding anything herein contained, KIWI design (Shenzhen  Hongjiantou Technology Co., Ltd.) shall not be liable to the user or any third party whatsoever for any damage, loss, liability or failure to provide any services under this warranty in respect of any act, omission or negligence of any technician, employee or independent contractor of KIWI design (Shenzhen Hongjiantou Technology Co.,  Ltd.) relating to the performance or purported performance of any obligations under this warranty.
KIWI design (Shenzhen Hongjiantou Technology Co., Ltd.) or its agents or representatives shall not be liable for any loss, injury or damage, including consequential loss, injury or damage arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the service, delivery or use of the product.
