Required: HQ Player 5 Desktop on the computer, VitOS Manager app on a mobile device
Connection: Z1 Plus, computer, and mobile device need to be on the same network
Output: Connect Z1 Plus to USB DAC

Step 1: Setting up HQPlayer NAA on Z1 Plus

Power on Z1 Plus and use VitOS Manager on a mobile device to discover Z1 Plus.
Check HQPlayer NAA status in Applications section. If Not Installed, install HQPlayer NAA.
Install HQPlayer NAA and wait for it to start running.
Ensure Z1 Plus is not playing music in other apps for HQPlayer 5 Desktop to find HQPlayer NAA.

Step 2: Controlling Z1 Plus with HQPlayer 5 Desktop

Download the HQPlayer 5 Desktop application from here.
Open HQPlayer 5 Desktop and go to File > Settings to open the Settings Page.
Select NetworkAudioAdapter in the Backend option under the Outputs interface.
Select the Z1 Plus device from the Device Option and click OK.
Browse and select the music content folder, then choose the music to start playing.
Open VitOS Manager to see HQPlayer NAA displayed as an audio source, indicating playback from Z1 Plus.
(Optional) Use the hip control app on a mobile phone to control the playback of HQPlayer.

Q: What should I do if I can’t find Z1 Plus in VitOS Manager?
A: Ensure Z1 Plus is powered on and connected to the same network as your computer and mobile device. Restart VitOS Manager and try again.
Q: How can I stop playback in HQPlayer NAA on Z1 Plus?
A: In HQPlayer NAA, click the Stop playing Button. When the button color turns gray, playback has stopped.
Q: Can I use other DACs with Z1 Plus?
A: Z1 Plus is designed to work with USB DACs. Ensure your DAC is compatible with Z1 Plus for optimal performance.

Please make sure that your computer has HQ Player 5 Desktop installed
Ensure that your mobile device has the latest version of the VitOS Manager application installed
And your computer, mobile device, and Z1 Plus need to be connected to the same network.
Make sure your Z1 Plus is connected to a USB DAC.

Step 1: Use Vitos Manager to control Z1 Plus, install HQPlayer NAA in Z1 Plus

Power on the Z1 Plus and use the Vitos Manager app on your mobile device to discover the Z1 Plus. Below is a screenshot of vitos manager discovery Z1 Plus page.
wait for the installation to complete, and the status of HQPlayer NAA will be displayed as ” Running “, indicating that HQPlayer NAA has been started and running. The screenshot below shows the HQPlayer NAA page and home page.
in order for HQPlayer 5 Desktop on the computer to find the HQPlayer NAA of Z1 Plus, please make sure that Z1 Plus is not playing music in other apps. If the color of the “Stop play” Button on the HQPlayer NAA page is orange, it means that Z1 Plus is playing music in other apps, then you need to click the “Stop playing” Button. The color of the “Stop playing” Button is gray to indicate that the music has been stopped.

Step 2: Use the computer’s HQPlayer 5 Desktop application to control Z1 Plus to play music

HQPlayer 5 Desktop application download link: https://www.signalyst.com/consumer.html Select the version corresponding to your computer to download
Open the HQPlayer 5 Desktop application on the computer
Select “File” In the upper left corner, and then click “Settings…” To open the “Settings” Page
On the “Settings” page, find the “Backend” option in the “Outputs” interface and select “NetworkAudioAdapter”.
After selecting “Networkaudioadapter” In the “Backend” Option, the “Device” Option will automatically find the Z1 Plus device that can be connected. After selecting the Z1 Plus device, click “OK” To set it to take effect.
Click the “Browse…” Button to open the selected music content folder.
Select the folder where you save the music, and then click the “Select folder” Button.
After importing the music file, select the music to start playing.
Install and open Vitos Manager, “HQPlayer NAA” Will be displayed in the audio source on the home page, indicating that Z1 Plus is playing songs from HQPlayer NAA.
Click the button marked above. When the background color of the button is dark gray (as shown in the figure below), it means that the hqpdcontrol app on the mobile phone can control the playback of hqplayer. (Note: If you do not use the mobile app to play, you can ignore this step)
