UPS & FAN CONNECTION
Disconnect the battery and mains power before starting installation.
1. Unscrew the terminal block from the fan cover.
2. Insert the UPS extension wires through the opening near the bottom corner of the fan cover.
3. Connect the black striped wire into the terminal block in line with the black wire.
Connect the white striped wire into the terminal block in line with the red wire.
Tighten each screw onto the wires to secure, the rubber jackets should not be touching the screws.
Tug lightly to check if secure.
4. Screw the terminal block back onto the fan cover.
5. Screw the fan cover onto the housing, with the terminal block on the bottom.
6. Puncture the rubber grommet nearest to the plug on the UPS. Feed the crimped end of the wires through the grommet.
7. Pop open the wire cover. Loosen the two screws for +12V and GND.
8. Connect the black striped crimp wire to the GND terminal.
Connect the white striped crimp wire to +12V terminal.
9. Connect black battery cable to the negative terminal on the battery.
Connect the red battery cable to the positive terminal on the battery.
The fan should start to run if the battery is charged. The indicator lights on the front of the UPS should be active depending on the power source (mains power or DC 12V).
