CARBON MONOXIDE
All fuel appliances consume air (oxygen) and can produce carbon monoxide which is toxic and has no odor and can cause death. Using a fuel appliance in a small and enclosed area can be harmful. Never use this appliance in a small and enclosed area. Always have fresh air venting.
CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING
DANGER! Never operate a fuel-burning appliance indoors or in a confined space as the exhaust contains carbon monoxide gas. Inhalation of carbon monoxide gas can lead to illness or death. The area must be well ventilated. Opening windows and doors is not enough to ventilate an area.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless and odorless gas that is difficult to detect. Carbon monoxide poisoning results from inhalation of the gas and may be lethal if left untreated. Evacuate all people to an area with clean air and seek immediate medical attention for any person experiencing the following symptoms:
- Headache
- Confusion
- Shortness of breath
- Weakness
- Chest pain
- Dizziness
- Vision trouble
- Nausea and vomiting
- Unconsciousness
PROPANE GAS
WARNING! Propane is an extremely flammable gas. It can easily ignite and readily form explosive mixture with air at room temperature. Gas or vapor may travel to a source of ignition and flash back to a leak or open container. It can accumulate in hazardous amounts in low-lying areas especially inside confined spaces, resulting in a health hazard. It can displace oxygen in the air, causing suffocation.
- Eliminate heat and ignition sources such as sparks, open flames, hot surfaces and static discharge when working with propane.
- Immediately report leaks, spills or equipment failures.
- Exit the area immediately in the event of a spill or leak.
- Store in an area that is cool, well-ventilated, out of direct sunlight and away from heat and ignition sources.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
DANGER! Ensure that multiple fire extinguishers are in the immediate area. Know how to operate a fire extinguisher before using this product to prevent serious burn injuries, death or property damage.
WARNING! Do not let comfort or familiarity with product (gained from repeated use) replace strict adherence to the tool safety rules. If you use this tool unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious personal injury.
WARNING! Do not use in unventilated areas. Lack of adequate ventilation may cause improper combustion and lead to carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was designed for a specific function. Do not modify or alter this tool or use it for an unintended purpose.
- Keep all combustible materials away from the unit.
- Do not touch the burner of a hot or operating unit to avoid burn injuries.

- Use only in accordance with local codes.
- This unit is for outdoor use only. Do not use it inside living quarters or below ground level.
- Use only with a vapor withdrawal propane/LP tank. Ensure that the tank does not exceed the recommended capacity. Contact your propane/LP dealer if you have questions about vapor withdrawal.
- Ensure that the unit is off before connecting it to the tank. Always connect and light the unit in areas free of open flames.
- Mount the propane/LP tank vertically with the shut-off valve up. Secure it from falling or being knocked over and protect it from damage. Always place the tank on a stable, level and non-combustible surface.
- Ensure that there are no gas leaks on the propane tank. Consult with the tank’s manual for testing procedures.
- Use only the hose and regulator assembly provided with the unit. Inspect the hose assembly before each use. If there is excessive abrasion or wear, or the hose is cut, replace the hose before using the unit again. The hose and regulator must be protected from damage.
