What is the difference between H6PRO Open and H6PRO Closed?
The H6PRO Open has perforated ear cups, allowing sound to escape and creating a wider soundstage for a natural listening experience. On the other hand, the H6PRO Closed has fully sealed ear cups that prevent external sound from entering the soundscape, offering a more immersive listening experience.
What are the advantages of using an open-back headset for streaming?
Using an open-back headset is the best choice for streamers and content
creators who want to benefit from a wide and realistic soundstage, remaining
aware of their surroundings and eliminating the need of continually adjusting
sidetone levels.
Additionally, open-back headsets tend to be more comfortable to wear for
longer periods, as they allow for better airflow and reduce heat buildup
around the ears.
In which scenarios should I use the four pick-up patterns?
- Cardioid is perfect for solo recording as sound is picked up from the front of the microphone, while background noise is dampened.
- Stereo opens up a wider sound field and makes for more immersive, natural sounding audio.
- Bidirectional records from both the front and back of the microphone, while dampening sound on either side of the microphone, making it optimal for casting with a partner.
- Omnidirectional picks up sound from every direction, making it suitable for collaborative game streaming. You can easily change between the patterns for optimal recording setup with the turn of a dial.
Do I need an external sound card to use the Streaming Bundle?
The B20 Microphone has an integrated sound card, so you do not need to use a separate sound card. By plugging the H6PRO headset directly into the B20 microphone’s audio output, you will be able to configure your settings for both products through the EPOS Gaming Suite.
Why should I download the EPOS Gaming Suite?
The EPOS Gaming Suite for PC allows you to fully customize your microphone and playback EQ, gain, noise gate levels, voice enhancer, noise gate and reverb controls to take your streaming game to the next level. Furthermore, the EPOS Gaming Suite enables you to toggle between 7.1 surround sound and 2.0 stereo when your favorite 3.5 mm headset is connected through the B20.
How do I save my preferred microphone side tone, volume, and gain settings?
To save your preferred microphone settings, you need to download the EPOS Gaming Suite on your PC. After adjusting the settings to your liking, the EPOS Gaming Suite saves your side tone, volume, and gain settings on your microphone locally for when you want to use the microphone on other platforms.
Can I use the H6PRO headset and the 820 microphone separately?
Yes, both products can be used individually and be used in combination with
different audio solutions. For instance, the B20 microphone is compatible with
all EPOS analog headsets, such as EPOS H6PRO Closed and H3.
When the B20 microphone, which already has an integrated sound card, is not
being used, the H6PRO Open headphones can be paired with external sound cards,
such as the EPOS GSX 300 and GSX 1000.
Can the bundle be used on platforms other than PC?
To fully customize and maximize the combined use of B20 and H6PRO for
streaming, it is advisable to use a PC/Mac and install our EPOS Gaming Suite.
The B20 microphone will however work with most USB-compliant devices, such as
PS4™ and PS5™.
The H6PRO Open is compatible with PC, Mac®, PS4™, PS5™, Xbox One, Xbox Series
XIS, and Nintendo Switch. Please note that this headset comes with Console and
PC cables, making it possible to switch back and forth between your preferred
platforms.
