Flossing Teeth
Turn On The Oral Irrigator
Press the control knob for 1s to turn the appliance on.
Place The Tip Into Your Mouth
Before starting, place the tip into your mouth to avoid making a mess. Lean
over the sink and slightly close your lips enough to prevent splashing, while
allowing water to flow from your mouth into the sink.
Switch the Water Flow And Adjust the Pressure
Turn the control knob on the main unit to switch the water flow and adjust the
water pressure.
NOTE: Begin at the lowest setting for first-time use. Turn the control knob clockwise to increase water pressure and counterclockwise to decrease water pressure.
Follow Gum Line And Start Irrigating
Direct the jet stream at 90° to the gumline. Slightly close your mouth to avoid splashing but allow water to flow freely from your mouth into the sink. For best results, start with the molar area (back teeth) and move toward the front teeth. Glide the jet tip along the gumline, pausing briefly between teeth. Repeat this process on the outside and inside of your teeth. It should take you about 2 minutes to complete. You can adjust the water pressure, water stream and direction to a comfortable setting at any time when flossing.
Pause the Water Flow
During the use, press the water switch on the handle to pause; release the
water switch to continue.
Turn Off the Oral Irrigator
- Long press the control knob for 2s to turn the unit off. Then empty any liquid left in the reservoir if the appliance will not be.
NOTE: Begin at the lowest setting for first-time use for several hours.
Sterilamp work automatically
After using, turn off the appliance, and the sterilamp will automatically light up for 2 minutes; the sterilamp also works if there is no operation within 1 minute after starting up the appliance.
Note: The appliance cannot be used while charging.
Cleaning and Storage
- Turn the unit off before cleaning. Clean the appliance when necessary with a soft cloth and mild non-abrasive cleanser.
- If you’ve used mouthwash or another solution, empty and then rinse the unit after use to prevent clogging by partially filling the reservoir with warm water and rinsing the unit with the tip pointed into the sink until it’s empty. Leaving stale water in your reservoir can breed bacteria.
- Hard water stains may build up in your unit, depending on the mineral content of your water. If left unattended, it may hinder performance. Cleaning the internal parts of the unit by adding 2 tablespoons of white vinegar or citric acid to a reservoir full of warm water. Point the tip into the sink and turn the unit on to rinse until the reservoir is empty. Repeat this process with a full reservoir of clean warm water.
- You can store five tips in the tip storage case, which is beside the reservoir and can be easily accessed by opening the lid.
- When the oral irrigator will not be used for an extended period, be sure to put the reservoir upside down on a flat surface. Once the reservoir is completely dry, store the whole unit in its box or similar storage in a cool, dry place.
- Water filter cleaning and replacement: One hand presses the reservoir, the other hand reaches for the water filter and removes it, and then wash the filter stain and scale. After cleaning, put the filter into the fixed position.(Please note that the silicone O-ring should be avoided to lose.)
- The water filter is recommended to be cleaned once a week and replaced half a year.
TIP USAGE
Part 3 TIP USAGE
Standard Jet Tip: daily cleaning, more effective than dental floss, healthier for gums.
- Direct the stream at 90° along the gumline with the tip in the mouth. Glide tip along the gumline, pausing briefly between teeth. Continue until you have cleaned the inside and outside of both the upper and lower teeth.
Dental Plaque Tip: cleaning implants, dentures, bridges, false crowns and general cleaning.
- Place the tip close to the teeth so that the tip is gently touching the teeth. Glide tip along the gumline, pausing briefly between teeth to gently brush and allow the water to flow between teeth.
Periodontal Tip: periodontal pocket cleaning, direct water into specific areas under the gumline.
- Set the unit to the lowest pressure. Place the soft tip against teeth at 45° and gently place the tip under the gumline, into the pocket.
Tongue Cleaner Tip: tongue cleaning, which helps improve bad breath.
- Set the unit to the lowest pressure, and place tip in the center/middle of the tongue about halfway back. Pull forward with low pressure and increase pressure as you prefer.
Orthodontic Tip: daily dental care for people undergoing orthodontics/correction, installing implants or with misaligned teeth.
- Glide tip along the gumline, pause briefly to gently brush the area between teeth and all around the orthodontic bracket, before proceeding to the next tooth.
ADVICE FOR USE
Flossing
- To avoid spraying everywhere, please make sure you have the tip pointed into your mouth before turning the unit on. Do not take the tip out of your mouth while it’s working.
- For those with sensitive teeth or beginners, low pressure is recommended.
- Start with the lowest pressure when you use the periodontal tip to protect your gum.
- The orthodontic tip is also suitable for misaligned teeth.
- People who have not been flossing frequently or have sensitive gums may feel some discomfort or bleeding when they use it for the first time. That discomfort or tendency to bleed will be reduced during this oral hygiene exercise.
- An oral irrigator is an effective tool for oral hygiene, not a replacement for brushing.
- The appliance cannot be replaced dentist, please consult your dentist if your teeth feel unwell continually.
- Insist on using an oral irrigator, which can clean the mouth deeply and prevent dental calculus or tartar. If dental calculus or tartar occurs, you need to go to the dentist for dental cleaning.
Hygiene and Health
- To maintain effective hygiene, it’s recommended to replace the standard jet tip and tongue scraper tip every 6 months and replace other tips every 3 months.
- The tips are made of resin, so do not use hot water over 122℉/50℃.
- Keep the reservoir dry when not in use for a long time. Leaving stale water in your reservoir can cause bacteria and mold breeding.
- It’s recommended to clean the reservoir every one or two weeks and wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
Longer Appliance Life
- The appliance will power off automatically after 2min continuous working to prevent overheating.
- The motor is still running when you stop the water flow. Please make sure that the appliance has been turned off after flossing.
- The motor will overheat with a long period of continuous use. It is recommended to continuously use not exceed 4mins, and the unit is turned off for at least 15 minutes between uses.
- Clean the oral irrigator carefully to ensure optimal performance. Do not use water over 104℉/40℃.
