IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This product should be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This product is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into a 120V GFCI outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

DANGER – Improper use of the grounding plug can result in the risk of electric shock. If repair or replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the grounding wire to either flat blade terminal. The wire with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the grounding wire.

• Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or the product is not properly grounded.
• If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a three wire extension cord that has a three-blade grounding plug, and a three-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on the product. Replace or repair a damaged cord.

When using electrical products, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

ADANGER – To reduce the risk of electrocution:

• Do not use while bathing.
• Do not place or store product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or tank.
• Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

Do not reach for a product that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.

WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:

•  Close supervision is necessary when this product is used by or near children or individuals with disabilities.
• Use this product only for its intended use as described in the owner’s manual.
• Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped in water.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never use while sleepy, drowsy, intoxicated, or under the influence of medication that may affect your judgement.
• Never drop or insert any object into any opening or hose.
• Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• Connect this product to a properly grounded GFCI outlet only. See grounding instructions.
  
  

DANGER – Possibility of electric shock!

• Use the correct voltage according to the specifications and connect to a three prong GFCI grounded outlet.

• Please use caution not to spray water directly on the Radiance™ toilet seat. This could cause serious damage to the product, and may result in electric shock or fire.

• Do not use harsh brushes or abrasive detergents to clean the Radiance toilet seat. Use only mild soap and a soft cloth for cleaning.

• Do not disassemble, modify, or attempt to service the Radiance toilet seat.

BEFORE INSTALLATION

• Be sure that all parts are on hand before proceeding with the installation.
• Items required, but not included: 5/8″ wrench, GFCI wall outlet.
  

INSTALLATION

Please read these instructions carefully before installation.
Failure to do so could result in damage to the product.

Insert the adjustable mounting bolts (B) into the grooves on the bottom of the Radiance” toilet seat (A) (US for United States, EU for European).

Insert the mounting bolts (B) through the toilet mounting holes.

• Adjust seat by sliding forward and backward along track to position the seat correctly on the bowl.

• From under toilet, finger-tighten bottom section of STA-TITE® nuts (C
  

• Tighten bottom section of STA-TITE® nuts with a wrench until they snap off.
  

• Plug into a grounded GFCI outlet.

OPERATION

Seat Temperature Setting

To adjust seat temperature, gently press the “seat temp” button. Each time the button is pressed, a red LED will be lit, representing the current level or temperature.

Temperature adjustment cycle:
Off
Low
Mid
High

Night Light Setting

Turn the night light on/off by pressing the “light” button

CLEANING

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE RADIANCE™ TOILET SEAT BEFORE CLEANING!
Use a soft, damp cloth and mild cleanser (such as a dish soap) to wipe down the seat and lid. NEVER scrub or use harsh, abrasive products to clean the Radiance™ toilet seat.

To obtain service under this warranty, you must contact Bemis Manufacturing Company, Proof of purchase in the form of a copy of your original receipt must accompany the returned unit for the warranty to be valid. To obtain the correct address, call Bemis Manufacturing Company at 1-888-722-6488.

YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Bemis warrants that all Bathroom Products will conform to any mutually agreed- upon specifications, and will be free of defects in material, workmanship, and title for a period of one year following the date they are shipped from Bemis.

If Buyer provides written notice of a Product defect to Bemis within the applicable warranty period and Buyer provides adequate documentation or evidence that establishes a Product defect to Bemis’ satisfaction, Buyer’s sole remedy is the repair, replacement, or refund of the Product’s purchase price (less shipping, if applicable), at Bemis’ option.

Bemis may, at its option, require the return of any Product for inspection and testing before honoring any defect claim. Products returned for a refund must be in original packaging and in saleable condition, and may be subject to a restocking fee. Discontinued colors or models, and custom or specially ordered Products cannot be returned for a refund.

This Limited Warranty is void if: (a) the Product has not been installed, used, or maintained according to any applicable written materials, including written instructions, specifications, packaging, and manuals; (b) the Product is not used for the intended application, or (c) the Product has been modified or repaired without Bemis’ express written permission.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS PROVIDED IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. BEMIS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTIONS. Bemis’ LIABILTY UNDER THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCTS.
