Pre-Installation

Please review prior to starting the installation to connect to the t-valve and 3/8 or 1/2 dependent on your water supply valve size. Remove your current toilet seat when you are ready to begin the installation.

Installation

  1. Close the water supply valve to the toilet. Flush the toilet to minimize the water in the tank. Place a towel on the floor to absorb any water.BEMIS-R85320H20-White-Round-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-fig-2
  2. Disconnect the water hose from the fill valve connection under the tank of the toilet.
  3. Confirm that the rubber washer is in the t-valve. Connect the adjustable t-valve to the underside of the toilet tank. Turn the water control handle downwards. This shuts off the water to the bidet attachment.BEMIS-R85320H20-White-Round-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-fig-3
  4. Attach the water supply hose (attached to the water shut-off valve) to the bottom of the t-valve.
  5. Connect the metal hose supplied with the bidet to the open side of the t-valve.BEMIS-R85320H20-White-Round-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-fig-3
  6. Straighten the hinges on your seat as shown in the diagram.
  7. Place the bidet on the toilet. While holding the bidet in place, place the circular mounting disks into the bidet attachment.BEMIS-R85320H20-White-Round-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-fig-5
  8. Holding the attachment as far back in the bowl as possible, align the slots in the circular mounting disks so you can see the seat mounting holes on the toilet. (The slots should mirror each other.)BEMIS-R85320H20-White-Round-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-fig-6
  9. Prior to final tightening, center the bidet attachment. Slide the bidet attachment as far to the back of the bowl as possible. Align the circular mounting disks so the angle of the slots are mirrored (see diagrams 10A and 10B). Confirm that the bidet attachment is centered by checking that the hinge bases are on the same location on the bidet attachment (see diagram 10C). *For best results, the attachment should be back as far as possible and the slot angles should be mirror images.BEMIS-R85320H20-White-Round-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-fig-7
  10. Connect the hose from the t-valve to the bidet attachment and tighten.BEMIS-R85320H20-White-Round-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-fig-7
  11. Confirm that the handle on the bidet is turned to the off position (This prevents the bidet from squirting when the water is turned on).BEMIS-R85320H20-White-Round-Bidet-Toilet-Seat-fig-9
  12. Slowly turn the water supply valve open. Check for leaks as the valve opens. If a leak occurs, turn off the water supply and tighten the connection properly.

Notes
Make sure to turn off the water supply valve before starting installation. Also, confirm that all connections are properly tightened before turning on the water supply.

Adjustable Wash Functions

  1. Start with the t-valve knob in the off position… pointing straight down (see photo).
  2. Turn the knob a small amount to open the valve (see photo). Turning the knob in small amounts will help you find your preferred stream strength more quickly.
  3. Seated and prepared to be washed, slowly turn the bidet handle towards you (to the left), stopping on the first click. (Turning the bidet handle away from you, to the right, will self-clean the nozzle) Too Strong or Uncomfortable: Turn the T-valve knob closer to the closed position and try again.
  4. More Stream Strength Needed: Turn the bidet handle to the second click, if comfortable try the third click.

With these instructions, you can install and use the ASSURANCETM Bidet Attachment with ease.

PRE-INSTALLATION
Please review prior to starting the installation

Water Supply Line

  • Confirm that your current water supply line to the toilet is a flexible water supply hose.
  • If it is a rigid pipe, you will need to replace this with a flexible water supply hose.
  • The flexible water supply hose needs to be 7/8″ to connect to the t-valve and 3/8″ or 1/2″ dependent on your water supply valve size.

Adjustable T-valve (included)

  • The adjustable t-valve is supplied with the bidet mounts onto the fill valve connection on the underside of the toilet tank.
  • DO NOT mount the adjustable t-valve onto the water supply valve.
  • Teflon tape is included if you choose to use it.
  • Remove your current toilet seat when you are ready to begin the installation

INSTALLATION

  1. Close the water supply valve to the toilet. Flush the toilet to minimize the water in the tank. Place a towel on the floor to absorb any water.
  2. Disconnect the water hose from the fill valve connection under the tank of the toilet.
  3. Confirm that the rubber washer is in the t-valve. Connect the adjustable t-valve to the underside of the toilet tank. Turn the water control handle downwards. This shuts off the water to the bidet attachment.
  4. Attach the water supply hose (attached to the water shut-off valve) to the bottom of the t-valve.
  5. Connect the metal hose supplied with the bidet to the open side of the t-valve.
  6. Straighten the hinges on your seat as shown in the diagram.
  7. Place the bidet on the toilet. While holding the bidet in place, place the circular mounting disks into the bidet attachment.
  8. Holding the attachment as far back in the bowl as possible, align the slots in the circular mounting disks so you can see the seat mounting holes on the toilet. (The slots should mirror each other
  9. While holding down the bidet attachment with one hand, pick up the seat, align the bolts to the mounting holes, and push the seat downward through the slots in the circular mounting disks so the bolts enter the seat mounting holes on the toilet. Pushing downward and holding the seat in place, lightly hand-tighten the StayTite™ nuts.
  10. Holding the bidet attachment in place, tighten the StayTite nuts until the installation head snaps off.
  11. Connect the hose from the t-valve to the bidet attachment and tighten.
  12. Confirm that the handle on the bidet is turned to the off position (This prevents the bidet from squirting when the water is turned on).
  13. Slowly turn the water supply valve open. Check for leaks as the valve opens. If the leak occurs, turn off the water supply and tighten the connection properly.

ADJUSTABLE WASH FUNCTIONS

  5. If the stream is comfortable and effective, do not adjust the t-valve knob any further.
  6. If the stream strength is too weak, turn the bidet handle to the OFF position and then turn the t-valve knob open a little more.
  7. Repeat the process of testing the stream strength by turning the bidet handle until you find the stream strength that is appropriate for you.

HOW TO USE YOUR BIDET
For personal wash, turn the handle to the left towards the ” ” position. To clean the nozzle, turn the handle to the right towards the ” ” position. The further the handle is turned, the stronger the water stream.

CLEANING
Your Assurance™ Bidet Attachments are made with a high-grade fire-retardant ABS resin. Using cleaning chemicals can damage the bidet material.

  1.  Clean the bidet attachment by wiping the surface area with a damp cloth regularly.
  2. Do not use harsh detergents, cleaning chemicals or any cleaning tools with bristles on your bidet.

SHORT TERM NON-USE
As with any product attached to a water line, if you are to be out of your home for an extended period of time, turn off the water supply to the bidet/toilet.

WARRANTY

Your Bemis Assurance™ Bidet Attachment is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year following the date of the original purchase. Bemis will repair, replace, or refund the product’s purchase price (less shipping, if applicable) at Bemis’s sole option. You must provide written notice of a warranty claim to Bemis within the applicable warranty period, including adequate documentation or evidence that establishes a defect in workmanship or materials. Bemis may, at its option, require the return of the product for inspection and testing before honoring any warranty claim. This Limited Warranty excludes costs related to shipping and labor, including removal, disposal, repair, or replacement of the defective product and installation of the replacement product (if applicable). Products returned for a refund must be in original packaging and in saleable condition and may be subject to a restocking fee. Discontinued colors or models, and custom or specially ordered products cannot be returned for a refund. This Limited Warranty is void if: (a) the product has not been installed, used, or maintained according to any applicable written materials, including written instructions, specifications, packaging, and manuals; (b) the product is not used for the intended application, or (c) the product has been modified or repaired without Bemis’s express written permission.
