USE
CAUTION Each machine is carefully checked before leaving the factory.
BATTIPAV is constantly developing its machines, and so reserves the right to
make any changes without notice. As a result, the information and
illustrations in this manual may differ from the machine supplied.
The LEGGERA tile cutter is a technologically advanced, high performance
machine that is suitable for cutting ceramics, single-fired tiles and
stoneware.
PRECAUTIONS
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility where the LEGGERA tile cutter is
used with any tools other than those specified in the “RECOMMENDED USE”
paragraph.
ASSEMBLY

Take the machine out of the packaging and check that no parts have been damaged.

Position the cutter beam bracket and lock it into place using the fastening knob.
TRANSPORT -
The LEGGERA tile cutter can easily be transported.
PERFORMING THE CUT
CAUTION -
Position the tile to be cut on the resting surface at the cut point required.
For greater accuracy, use the cutting indicator and the relative tile support plate; -

Proceed by cutting into the glaze using the cutting lever, exerting constant pressure downward along the whole tile size;

Move the foot to the break point then exert a gradually increasing pressure until the tile is separated.
DIAGONAL CUT
Loosen the beam bracket’s locking knob; -
Move the supporting beam bracket to an angle of 45° as shown in photo 8.
Position the tile to be cut on the work surface and proceed with cutting as described in the “PERFORMING THE CUT” paragraph.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
REPLACEMENT OF CUTTING SPARE WHEEL -
Using a 3 mm hexagonal wrench, remove the screw from its seat and the locking nut cutting wheel.
Remove the worn cutting wheel.
Clean the surfaces from any residues.
For better smoothness of the cutting wheel, it is recommended to lubricate the surface of the locking screw with lithium grease. -
Adjust the cutting wheel by tightening the screw with a 3 mm male hexagonal wrench, until the lateral backlash is reduced, avoiding any locking.
ADJUSTMENT OF CUTTING CARRIAGE
Remove any residues from the slide bar of the cutting carriage, without lubricating. -
Eliminate the lateral backlash of the carriage, by acting on the screw indicated in picture 14, using a 4 mm hexagonal head wrench.
CAUTION AN EXCESSIVE ADJUSTMENT WILL DAMAGE THE GOOD SLIDING OF THE CUTTING CARRIAGE.
CLEANING
Keep the slide bar clean using an all-purpose lubricant
Assemble again the screw and the locking nut.
Always use original BATTIPAV spare parts (Art. 2009).
DISPOSAL
In the event of scrapping the entire machine or part of it, it must be disposed of in accordance with the methods laid down by current legislation.

TROUBLESHOOTING
THIS TOOL MUST ONLY BE REPAIRED BY TRAINED PERSONNEL.
Repairs must be carried out by trained personnel only, using original spare
parts, otherwise you may cause considerable danger for the user.
Malfunctions not related to a conformity defect that exists at the time of
purchase are excluded from the warranty.
Exclusions include:
- Wear of materials (taking into account the average life of the product)
- Failure to comply with the recommendations contained in this manual.
- Maintenance and tampering carried out by unauthorized personnel.
- Use of non-original spare parts.
